Just finished my evening walk and went past this reminder of why we do, what we do, each and every day, in all of our Xavier Catholic Schools.
Beautiful recent views from high atop the new Xavier Middle School building. I’m guessing in a couple of weeks with leaves gone, we might be able to see Xavier HS? However, very debatable if I’ll make that same climb as the weather grows colder!

Friends, as Catholics, we have received an invitation from God the Father to come to the wedding banquet of his Son—to come to Mass and to share in the divine life.
And yet we know, through so many studies on church attendance, that countless Catholics say no to this invitation. This is the central tragedy of the spiritual life: receiving the invitation of the king and saying no.
