#BlackOwnedMedia companies compete for a fraction of 1% of that spend. 🧵
Advertisers like @ProcterGamble @GM @Loreal @PepsiCo @Amazon and agencies like @WPP @Omnicom @PublicisGroupe @InterpublicIPG could change these racist dynamics in #advertising today by making multi-year, 7-10-figure investments in media buys with #BlackOwnedMedia companies.
Not programs, promises or studies, just — money. Companies like @ProcterGamble and executives like Marc S. Pritchard have publicly acknowledged these racist practices in #advertising and have yet to move the needle for #blackownedmedia companies.
