Be honest, we know you guys miss us…😏🥰 “In about a year and a half, the federal workforce shrank by more than a tenth, while targeted grants and contracts declined as well. The government kept functioning much as before. One might call that a success.”
DOGE worked. Most importantly, the civil service is 12% smaller than it was in Jan 2025. In the Fall @CityJournal, I show they were not replaced by contractors, the biggest cuts were to middle managers, and the predictions of disaster were proven false. city-journal.org/article/dog…

WOAH 🚨 Dearborn, Michigan mayor Abdullah Hammoud is at a mosque making a speech calling for Muslims to organize to make sure the entire city leadership is Muslim “That only happens if we go out and we vote. If the Muslim community votes, if the Arab community votes, we will determine every single position in the whole city” We were warned Muslims would use mosques as voter mobilization centers to take over our government. There is no clearer example of this happening than this video I would like to just point out that you are politicians aren’t allowed to give campaign speeches like this inside places or worship It’s called the Johnson Amendment. It prohibits tax-exempt 501c3 organizations including churches, mosques, synagogues and other houses of worship from “participating in, or intervening in any political campaign on behalf any candidate for public office - Organizations cannot endorse or oppose candidates - They cannot host or facilitate campaign speeches, rallies, or events where a candidate asks for votes This is EXACTLY what’s happening in this video Violations for this leads to loss of tax-exempt status. This mosque should lose their tax exempt status

I’m a Democrat. In 34 years of voting, I’ve never voted for a Republican. But this version of the Democratic Party has become dangerous, and I can’t pretend otherwise. If you’re eligible to vote in Michigan, I urge you to support Mike Rogers.

BREAKING: Moroccan wedding guests have attacked the Member of the Flemish Parliament Filip Dewinter @FDW_VB in Antwerp city hall in Belgium. The anti-migration politician is also a Councilman of the Antwerp City Council and arrived in city hall for a council meeting together with fellow Vlaams Belang councillor Anke Van Dermeersch. A large group of Moroccans who had gathered in front of city hall for wedding pictures recognized the politician, called him a racist and quickly attacked him. Dewinter was grabbed by the throat by a large man, pushed inside city hall, punched and kicked by several people. He came away with a bleeding eyebrow and a black eye, and has filed a complaint for assault and battery. European politicians are now attacked at their work place for opposing mass-immigration. Meanwhile, mainstream media stays silent about the attacks or downplays them and the threat they pose to democracy.

Wait. Am I getting this right? These guys just came out of SIX YEARS in stealth with a machine that takes code and spits out actual working micro-machines??? Tiny devices with moving parts, without the usual per-product tooling or months of process development. A different code… BAM: different machine! A regular factory locks in custom fixtures and process recipes for each thing it builds. 3D printer…? Just changes the shape. What Atomic Machines describes is closer to a compiler for physical devices: The system measures the result after every step, feeds that back, and only lets the part move forward if it is in spec. Their first output is the PrimeSwitch PS-150, a hermetic relay about the size of a fingernail that carries 150 A continuous, opens to 1,500 V isolation in 50 microseconds, and draws no power while holding the state. Aimed at the 800 V DC rails showing up in AI data centers, where mechanical contactors are too slow and solid-state switches bleed heat and cannot fully isolate. If you are even remotely interested in manufacturing, you know this a different c a t e g o r y of manufacturing. Congrats to @jeffholden and Klaus Zietlow and the rest of the team!

In Defiance Thousands of companies who manufacture products in America are searching for authentic ways to tell their own stories without sounding like they’re patting themselves on the back. Others are searching for a genuine way to reinvigorate the skilled trades without making a recruiting commercial, or coming off as false, self-serving, or manipulative. I know this because I’ve talked to many such companies and encouraged them at every turn to tell their story in the only way I’ve ever seen to be effective - through the eyes of their own employees. Because no one can talk more honestly about the mission of an American-made enterprise than the people who do the actual work. Attached, for your consideration, is a short example of what that looks like. It’s a video from a company called @DECKED, which I suspect many of you have never heard of. DECKED makes a sliding drawer system that can be installed into the beds of virtually any pick-up truck. It’s an ingenious design that allows tradespeople, farmers, and hard workers of every stripe to access the stuff they haul around with remarkable ease. DECKED’s ingenuity has been rewarded with remarkable growth. The product is entirely American made, and 90% of their manufacturing is accomplished in a town called Defiance, Ohio, with 250 employees working away in several hundred thousand square feet of space, along with a LOT of machinery and technology that I won’t attempt to describe. Anyway, two of the principals, Greg Randolph and Bill Bonta, decided to host a company event last week that brought together employees, local media, local politicians, and yours truly, to discuss the challenges of making things in America. More importantly, Greg and Bill had the good sense to record everything, edit it together in a sensible fashion, and then share it as broadly as possible. I promised to do my part to spread the word, and if you agree with the effort, I’d appreciate it if you passed this video on. Because what DECKED is doing in Defiance is important. And so, too, is the way they’re doing it. The bottom line is obvious. If America is to truly reinvigorate our manufacturing base, it’ll require something more than sensible policies and logical incentives out of DC. It’ll also require something more than trade unions fighting for a better deal from management. I’ve got nothing against unions, (at least, not all unions), and I understand the eternal struggle between labor and management. But this struggle is not that struggle, and even if it were, we can’t have the conversation we need to have with just 8% of the workforce, which is currently the percentage of workers represented by a union. This is a struggle for the essence of who we are as country and what kind of country we will become, if we simply give up on the challenge of making quality goods ourselves. This is about entrepreneurs betting on themselves, their people, and their ideas, despite a global playing field that’s not level, and the need to assume a level of risk that most Americans simply couldn’t stomach. DECKED is doing that. They’re manufacturing a terrific product in defiance of a great many obstacles. They’re also doing it in Defiance, literally, which is good news for Ohio, good news for the United States, and good news for the 250 employees who are proud of what they do, and eager to share the success of their company. Which you’ll see them do in the attached video. Please give it a look, and pass it on...

Hey @grok does Gavin Newsom‘s family have any ties to slavery?
Gavin Newsom uses the open of his podcast to sign a bill forcing companies to dig for slavery ties -- and make them public. "This is a bill that requires large companies that operated before 1965 to search their records for ties to slavery, going back to 1849." "And then we make it public." "Accountability starts with the truth." He's announcing the launch of a corporate guilt record to set the stage for reparations, set to a cheesy soundtrack. This guy wants to be president.

I don't do CAD anymore. Every part is a Python program that builds the model in memory using build123d, an open-source parametric modeling Python framework. It then exports the model as a STEP file, which Fusion 360 imports so they can be inspected visually. A high-level YAML spec file holds the numbers that define the robot as a whole - dimensions, masses, actuators, joint limits - which is read by the code. The python code obviously is written by an LLM (I currently use Opus). I did consider using Onshape, but its API is capped to a few thousands calls a year, which make it unusable for me: I use Opus to push the parts, build the assembly, create the joints, set their limits and values, assign materials and densities, and inspect the result. That's easily a few hundred calls a day.
