Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) happens when a baby's brain doesn't get enough oxygen or blood. It can cause brain injury and may affect movement, development, communication, and more.
Some children with HIE may develop cerebral palsy.
It’s moments like this that remind us of the power of determination, patience, and therapy. 🩵
Physical therapy can be an important part of cerebral palsy care and finding a therapist experienced with children with CP can help families feel more confident in their child’s care.

Many women don’t realize they can participate in decisions during labor and delivery.
Ask questions. Understand your options. Give informed consent.
This matters because birth injuries can sometimes lead to lifelong disabilities.
Every milestone, big or small, is worth celebrating.
If you're a cerebral palsy parent, what has helped you feel supported along the way? We'd love to hear from you 👇
