What’s out front of the restaurant on the news rack this morning versus what is behind the restaurant this morning in the alley…
What are we doing?
Trash kills bears. Our officers were once again faced with that ugly truth Saturday in Durango.
We once again encountered a bear that had its upper intestines completely blocked by trash, including non-flushable cleaning wipes and plastic bags.

A rare sight to see: A lynx kitten and adult spotted by a trail camera in Colorado 👀
Lynx breed in late winter, and after a gestation period of about 9 weeks, females produce a litter of 1 to 4 kittens in May or June. Kittens stay with their moms for about 9 months.
We can’t thank Dr. Hawman and Durango Animal Hospital enough for this one.
Check out this story on an injured peregrine falcon that recently returned to the wild outside of Cortez.
