With the local elections coming up don't let the news media bury the truth about Farage, Nathan Gill and Russia.
On September 16, 2014, Farage and Nathan Gill made speeches to the European Parliament parroting several of the same Russian propaganda lies.
Could this have just been a coincidence? I don't think so. It looks coordinated. Either Farage gave Nathan Gill his talking points, or Russia was providing its talking points to both of them.
They both called Ukraine "The Ukraine," a term which refers back to the old Slavic word for borderland, which Russia uses to deny Ukraine's nationhood.
They both used the expression "poking the Russian bear."
They both parroted the Russian lie that there had been a coup in Kyiv in 2014.
They both parroted Russian lies about NATO and EU expansion.
They both repeated the Russian claim that the real threat was Muslim extremism, a claim that Putin had very effectively used to distract Western leaders from Russian aggression and its hybrid war against the West.
Reform UK initially claimed Farage barely knew Gill. That turned out to be a filthy lie.
Let's follow the Hungarian example and get off our sofas into the polling booths to give Farage and his media backers a kick in the brexits that they will never forget.
And just in passing, here is Farage with the Russian Ambassador in 2013 – the same Ambassador Farage denied having met, and who later boasted of having "crushed the British to the ground". Finally, a screenshot of Farage and Galloway looking very much at home on Russian TV.

The Dublin III Accord was an EU agreement that allowed the UK to return asylum seekers to the first safe EU country they entered. If someone arrived in the UK via France, we could send them back to France under Dublin III.
It worked. It gave us control. It was our legal right as an EU member.
Brexit destroyed it.
The moment we left the EU, we lost access to Dublin III. We can no longer return asylum seekers to EU countries. They stay here because we have nowhere to send them back to.
Who campaigned for Brexit?
Nigel Farage. Boris Johnson. The Brexit Party. David Cameron called the referendum.
They told you Brexit would solve immigration. They told you we’d “take back control.”
They lied.
Brexit removed the one mechanism we had to manage asylum claims effectively. Dublin III let us return people to safe EU countries. We don’t have that anymore.
The boats increased after Brexit. Not before. After.
Because the legal route to return people disappeared the day we left the EU.
Nigel Farage campaigned to leave the EU. He got what he wanted. And now he campaigns on the immigration crisis his own policy created.
He caused the problem. Then he sold you the anger about it. Then he asked for your vote to “fix” it.
This is the con.
You’re angry about immigration. You should be. But you’re angry at the wrong people.
The person responsible for the immigration situation you hate is the person asking for your vote to fix it.
Nigel Farage destroyed the Dublin III agreement when he pushed for Brexit. Everything that’s happened since is the consequence of that choice.
Vote tactically May 7. Stop giving power to the people who created the problem.
Nigel lies to you because he thinks you like getting angry and will vote for him in return even though he is the reason you are angry. I want you vote for him. He’ll remove more of your rights and money. He doesn’t care about you. I’ve met him, I know.

A final piece of advice from Holly Butcher - written the day before she passed away from cancer at just 27:

Write a note.
Tell someone you love them.
Complain less.
Give more.
Helping others brings more joy than anything you can buy.
Be present.
Put your phone down.
Show up - really show up.
You don’t need to have it all figured out. You don’t need a perfect body, or a perfect life.
Just follow what makes your heart light up. Say no to what drains you. Make changes when you need to.
And please - donate blood. I wouldn’t have had that extra year without it. And that year gave me memories I’ll hold close… forever.

My daughter was not a celebrity. She was a person who had brain cancer. I’m trying to raise awareness of glioblastoma, the horrendous grade four brain tumour that took my daughter.
Charlotte was 19 yrs 5 days old when she died. Her last birthday was the 18th of February 2016. She spent it in a coma. Charlotte had no bucket list. She didn't even have a big enough group of friends to enjoy one with. Before her diagnosis, Charlotte was a timid teenager diagnosed with crippling General Anxiety Disorder.
Charlotte faced her cancer head on. It changed her completely. The immediacy of the situation shook off all of her previous inhibitions and anxieties.
Charlotte campaigned vehemently, through her YouTube channel & national and local news. She was determined to give a voice to other young sufferers of cancer.
