🚨 "Position #1" on Google is officially DEAD. 🚨
An SEO messaged me seeing something bizarre, so I reached out to Yext to dig into the data. What they found after analyzing 8.16 MILLION search screenshots blew us away.
Right after Google’s May Core Update:
⚡ Organic rankings became 48.7% MORE volatile.
⚡ 97% of tracking reports started wildly shuffling!
⚡ Mobile local searches were hit the hardest.
Two people searching the exact same phrase at the exact same time are now seeing completely different results. Checking your rank once from your desk and claiming "We're #3!" is no longer reality.

Google has been testing using tracking URLs for organic search results, rather than the actual website URL.
We're already seeing this impact rank trackers because they can't "see" the real URL.

Gotta love this from Google.
It sounds so nice - "making it easier for you to get more consistent and predictable performance based on the targets you set" - right up until you read the fine print.
The short version: if your "limited by budget" campaigns use a target (tCPA, tROAS) and are overperforming (i.e. you're getting conversions at a cost that is lower than your target), Google will now cut that nonsense out.
This is yet another example of Google trying to squeeze out any surplus value in the auction.
The best move you can make is to adjust your targets on the 15th to align with the actual performance you're generating.

If you're trying to reply to reviews on GBP and are impacted by the bug currently plaguing nearly everyone - I have some tips for you!
Via @StefanSomborac: "if you click the blue "Reply to reviews" button, you can step through unreplied reviews one-by-one"
Via @brandonschmidt: "log into the Maps app on your phone you can see and respond to reviews in there."
Hang in there - Google is reportedly working on the issue as we type!

Google is suspending profiles for eXp real estate agents. According to a support thread, Google is stating eXp's business model makes the agents ineligible.
I don't believe that to be true. If the agents meet their clients in person, they would be allowed a business profile. Have you seen any agents get suspended due to this?

Great tip for clients or yourself.
If Google calls to ask for updated info on your business, they will never ask for payment/money - scammers will definitely ask.
