The cat is outside the bag. There are many people that have contributed to this effort and you're way too many to list all. But thanks to you all. I would particularly thank @phil_uplc for the original design of Programmable tokens, his passionate and expert support provided throughout the whole process. @COSDpool and the CIP reviewers and editors for the great work in managing the CIP process.

Once again, @COSDpool brings us a snapshot of the Cardano Improvement Proposal (CIP) process, the mechanism by which any stakeholder can propose changes to the protocol.

Here is a webapp I wrote to facilitate safe migration of wallets that I have been sharing with users I verified as impacted since the original incident occurred. My legal counsel finally gave approval to publish the tool publicly: is-my-cardano-safu.vercel.ap… You can use "Get Me Outta Here", and it will handle the corner cases that can result in loss of funds. Note that the tool is use at your own risk, it performs the safe migration handling the known edge-cases, however it doesn't guarantee comprehensiveness and there may be uncovered edge-cases that even this tool is not equipped to handle.

There are obscure and rare corner cases where this can lead to further loss of funds. Some wallets will automatically withdraw staking rewards as part of the first transaction and return them to your wallet instead of sending them to the other wallet. If you panic and only send ADA, your native assets will be returned to you as change. This can move assets from somewhere that they're safe, to an address that is compromised, and expose them to further losses. The point is, if you understand all the nuance and corner cases, there is a safe way to move your funds. If you don't, and you're rushing and panicking, there are ways you can make a mistake. And that's why I'm being careful not to tell people what they *should* do, while still trying to be helpful.

Cardano has a lot of visible work: launches, announcements, debates, big ideas. But a healthy ecosystem also depends on the unglamorous work that almost nobody sees, the editing, review cycles, cleanup, coordination, and relentless attention to detail that turns rough drafts into something the community can actually build on. This year, a huge amount of that load has been carried by Robert Phair (@rphair). He’s spent countless hours moving the CIP process forward: editing, reviewing, nudging, fixing typos, making commits, and doing whatever was needed to keep proposals progressing. It’s thankless work, and most people won’t even know his name; yet it is the foundation of the entire ecosystem. If you care about Cardano maturing, you should care about the people doing this kind of stewardship. Robert is one of those rare contributors who shows up consistently, does the hard parts, and rarely asks for anything. He deserves real recognition for the impact he’s had.

Meet Robert Phair (@COSDpool), one of the newest Ambassadors to join the Cardano Ambassador Program. Robert brings decades of experience and a strong belief in open-source, and this comes through clearly in his long-standing work on Cardano’s CIPs and documentation. Few people have contributed as much to shaping the ecosystem’s written standards and helping preserve its long-term memory. He’s committed to helping Cardano grow through clarity, good documentation, and accessible standards that everyone can build on. His message to the community: “Stay generous with your ideas. What you give, you get back many-fold.”

Do you know your #Cardano Improvement Proposal (CIP) Editors? Here’s a great article by @rxphair on the behind the scenes & importance. “Not only do CIPs document what official Cardano blockchain developers are doing to improve core technologies and conventions, they also expand the scope of what the larger Cardano community will deliver: through standards submitted by independent developers and architects. Once a standard is proposed through a CIP, it becomes a reference point upon which other developers and agencies can build…”

Ultimately, the most decentralized, most censorship resistant, highest Nakamoto Coefficient, fixed-supply currency will be #1. $BTC blocks mostly come from just Foundry & Ant, aka MAV=2! Cardano $ADA is at MAV=20 and can 'fly' after IOG lets go and destroys the genesis keys.

I have a theory: Regulators let the bad guys get big and blow up because it serves their agenda. 1. destroy capital/resources in crypto ecosystem 2. burn people, deter adoption 3. give air cover to attack good actors The bad guys are actually on-side. Good guys are the enemy.
