Hey Atlanta area friends! Even if you aren't able to attend the event at the library, come by in the afternoon to pick up some books and get them signed. We'd love to see you!#scbwi #kidlit #amwriting #atlantawriters
Glad to see #5amWritersClub is still a thing on here. I need to finish a draft and could use some cheering!

Wow, what a story by @CNegronWrite - "We were surrounded by the past, but focused only on the future." So much truth and meaning explored in this claustrophic narrative.

A good story is like a great soup - you have to build up the layers of flavor over time by letting it simmer and reduce, simmer and reduce, until only the best parts remain.
Bonus points if you can make sure your individual ingredients (read character, setting, etc.) have as much depth of flavor as possible on their own before adding them in.
More shots of the #kidlit Fun at Reading Attic Sunday!
So much fun today with author friends at The Reading Attic in Marietta, Georgia. We left lots of signed books, bookmarks, and more if you weren’t able to stop by The Reading Attic on the square in person! 📚📕📚

Dear Readers of Underdog City,
First of all - THANK YOU for picking up my brand new book. Unfortunately, I need to let you know that some of you may have received a misprinted copy. You can tell if your book ends at page 122. (1 / 3)
I am sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. Trust me, I am as disappointed as anyone about this. Please know that HarperCollins has been responsive and is working on making this right and fixing it with bookstores and customers. (2 / 3)

Today is a beautiful day to celebrate @CNegronWrite's UNDERDOG CITY, which Kirkus called "a meaningful exploration of young people’s involvement in community activism." Plus, dogs! 🐶🐶🐶

Yesterday I did a school visit and one of the students asked about writing from your own life. I started advising that if you write from a specific event, you should get permission from the others involved first. But if you’re writing from your own emotional state… (1/2)
…you own that already. And I was totally talking to her and I wasn’t talking to her at all at the same time.
You know? #iykyk
Anyway it’s been a long break for me, and book 3, Underdog City, is about to come out, but I think I’m about (finally!) ready to start writing book 4
