I created letter for any patient told theyist choose between them to present to their doctor! It is NOT TRUE that they "must" be de-prescribed. drive.google.com/file/d/1I5R…

According to publicly reported industry payment records, Dr. Timothy Deer, an anesthesiologist received approximately $4 million in payments from medical device and other healthcare companies between 2017 and 2025. As a vocal, patient advocate, I will continue to warn patients to stay away from these horrible interventional pain clinic

Harm reduction is a marketing term to provide whatever they are willing to take regardless of outcome. It is what they asked for.

Yes, he actually has close financial ties to the makers of the opioid Suboxone

Were you forced to choose between your benzodiazepine or your pain medication? I was prescribed both a benzo and an opioid, and I never graduated to heroin, never needed the ridiculous Narcan yet somehow I’m the problem?

@RepBonamici @RepBonamici Rep Bonamici introduced a bill targeting women with chronic pain. H.R. 10649 would impose a new fee on prescription opioids to fund drug disposal programs. Primary sponsor is Rep. Suzanne Bonamici — Democrat, Oregon's 1st Congressional District. You can call her office at Bonamici: (202) 225-0855 Patients living with debilitating chronic pain are not protected And guess what? Medications prescribed for addiction are exempt from the fee altogether. Are they high??? What the hell is going on?? Why does Congress continue to treat chronic pain patients differently? Why is someone suffering from severe spinal disease, arachnoiditis, CRPS, or another debilitating condition less deserving of protection than someone with cancer? Pain is pain, regardless of the diagnosis. And why are we once again singling out prescription opioids while giving addiction-treatment medications a pass? congress.gov/bill/119th-cong…

Being on Suboxone long-term and stopping suddenly can cause major cardiological danger. Pretty much the same as alcohol.

Thank you to all the physicians who have recently subscribed to our Patreon page. We appreciate the support. There are hundreds of innocent physicians who remain incarcerated for treating pain thedoctorpatientforum.com/

I’m not sure which scheme is bigger: the harm reduction industry or the spinal cord stimulator industry. Harm reduction whackos have somehow convinced the federal government that distributing crack pipes is a public health intervention, while MDs and medical device manufacturers have convinced patients to implant dangerous medical devices like spinal cord stimulators

@lucaspickford2: I was taken off of 2mg of Klonopin a day for the better part of 10 years. The doctor just said “I’m sorry I can’t prescribe that to you .anymore.” and cut me off cold turkey. It was the most terrifying, harrowing six weeks of my life. It was really, really awful. I won’t” Doctors are cutting patients off benzodiazepines because of the fearmongering coming from physicians who demonize these medications, along with increasing government scrutiny and regulatory pressure. Benzodiazepines are legitimate medications that can be life-changing and, in some circumstances, lifesaving.

Dr. Josef advertises the following pricing for his psychiatric medication tapering program. $32,000 if paid in full for the year. I’m going to save you $32,000 If you want to taper, ask your doctor to work with a compounding pharmacy. They can prepare customized doses that aren't commercially available, including liquid formulations or capsules containing precise amounts of medication. I will work on building a list of compounding pharmacies
If you take a prescribed benzo or Ambien, please don't check into a detox center to get off it. Most detox centers are built for addiction. People using huge, chaotic amounts of street drugs who need to get off fast. That's not you if you take a normal dose your doctor prescribed. And an addiction approach can leave you worse off. Here's what I see: 1. They rush you off in 1 to 3 weeks. The American Society of Addiction Medicine recommends slow, patient-led tapers instead, often over 1 to 2 years. 2. You leave on more drugs. The withdrawal is so bad they add Lexapro, gabapentin and Seroquel. One dependence becomes three. 3. A fast taper can hurt your brain. It's called protracted withdrawal. Ringing ears, light sensitivity, tingling, severe anxiety. In my clinic, recovery often takes 18 months to 2 years. What to do instead: → Reduce by about 5 to 10% the first month, then adjust to how your body responds. → Use a liquid version of your drug and a 1 ml syringe for precision. → Address why you started. Usually it's a high-achiever living in hyperarousal who hit a crisis. Learn to sleep and manage anxiety naturally. Don't white-knuckle it. Come off slowly, with a prescriber. Want to come off safely? Comment TAPER and I'll send you my free safe tapering guide.

Putting people on Suboxone long term has been an absolute disaster

Benzodiazepines save lives in extremely limited use cases. Putting people on them long-term and at scale has been an absolute disaster

Stay away from Stanford Pain at all costs This interventional pain clinic will experiment on your spine, dope you up on gabapentin/Cymbalta, convince you to pay for a ridiculous pain rehab class, or attempt to dupe you into getting a spinal cord stimulator They don’t care about patients
Patients deserve the truth. If a procedure is painful, they should be told upfront—and offered options for pain relief.
