The day wey I talk say make I do am so she go see as e Dey be I send vn Dey crash out say meat pie no sweet Naso she send like three vns dey complain about how she hates people that can’t do proper meatpie Bruh😂

As a student, I wanted to do something at the faculty (I can’t recall atm) and because I didn’t have any class that day, I wore a white and red shirt. I was not allowed to do what I wanted to do: I was asked to go and change into the regulation dress to get it done. I remember when I was stepping into the class one day and legal method lecturer screamed “that boy in a yellow dress”, get out of this class. Mind you, I was coming from an elective class in 100l. I had been stopped many times from entering the exam hall except I tucked in my shirt. There are several instances of lecturers sending students out of the class because of regulation dress. Just because the faculty will not dictate what the length of your skirt/pant should be or ask that you wear your ID card on your neck or tell you what kind of tie you should sport does not mean students are allowed to act in uncivil manners. Yes, the faculty is liberal, but that liberalism is often lost in context when discussed on this platform. But it is you people I blame. Any small talk about Unilag’s liberalism, una go start dey cite few cases you guys wore whatever and would not even add that some of you sat behind in class so lecturers did not see you. You guys won’t talk about the times lecturers saw you and chased you out of the class. And some of you will even join those that are calling your lecturers names because of regulation dress. And there are those of you too that one day you complain of “why are lawyer still wearing wig and gown. Even the Britain we copied it from has moved away from it. It is a relic of colonial” yadayada but it is white and black that is riling you up. Also, when a stranger goes to a place and sees what he considers to be strange (and strange does not always need value judgement), you ask questions before drawing conclusions.
