We set out to establish a new, transparent process. I’m very grateful to my colleagues + those who engaged in this new way of filling a vacancy. I hope this becomes the norm in the future: public, transparent, and based on shared values + the qualities of a successful lawmaker.

Today, we launched a new transparent and public process to fill the open seat on Council. Cincinnati deserves a leader who shares our values: a commitment to core services, to our children and families, especially those most marginalized, and a healthy culture at City Hall.

Yesterday, Council unanimously approved extra pay for our police recruits, an investment I’ve been fighting for. This will help boost recruitment and keep our neighborhoods safe. cincinnati.com/story/news/20…

A council member recently told me, "I don't really like fall." I won't reveal their identity because it may have a significant impact on the next council election. Anyway, happy first day of fall (and more importantly, happy hobbit day)

The gun violence last night is terrible and we’re going to get it out of our city. I’m grateful that everyone is expected to survive. @CincyPD did a tremendous job. Now, they’ll do what they do best: problem solve with the community to make sure this doesn’t happen again.

This morning, we highlighted new investments in youth jobs and career pathways. How we invest in young people says a lot about us as a city. More to do but we are on the right "path". 🙏🏻💙

I am *legitimately* excited for what I believe will be the City's largest Chipotle in my neighborhood of Mt. Washington. It will be a great day.🌯🌯
Becca Costello 🌧️🚽@becca_costello2 Aug 2022
Hearing misinformation and confusion in Council chambers today: @GregLandsman has been touting an Chipotle in Mt. Washington that will allegedly be the city's largest. Today, in Landsman's absence, that report has grown to "world's largest Chipotle" Glad I didn't skip this mtg
