The hard truth: if PPSD loses 1,000 students in 2 years, we’ll be forced to close 2–3 more schools. And just like that, the cycle continues—giving away schools year after year. It’s a domino effect we can’t afford. #SaveCarlLauro #FundPPSD

From a PTU teacher:
Just got a text from a teacher who saw two of her students there. She asked if they are going to Excel. They said “no, we got paid to be here”
Someone needs to look into this! @StephMachado @steveahlquist @AlexandraLeslie @NBC10 @StreetStories12

We’re literally watching Stop the Wait sign families in. @PPSDTruthTeller mentioned parents were getting stipends to be here…is that why they’re checking in? Anyone? @StephMachado @DavidMoralesRI @CoreyJonesPVD @TyR_Stephens

It’s no secret we have had our data compromised, so why have we heard nothing from @RIDeptEd or @DanMcKeeRI or @PVDMayor or @AGNeronha?!? What are our state and city leaders going to do to support Ts through this mess?

A brutal chart from state Sen. @SamZurier comparing the goals that RI leaders set for the Providence schools takeover vs. where the schools actually are today
"the academic performance of PPS students during the takeover has not come close to the goals set forth"

The extra 30 min in elem was awful!! Kids were exhausted. It was dark when we left. We already overload the kids with academics, K is now expected to master what first graders did 15 years ago. I know this bc I taught 1st gr 15 yrs ago and K now. XTRA time= waste of time! Facts!
