How to position @forestcityclev and @ClevelandAstra relative to each other was a big, long process in itself. Should they have the same name? Should they look like twins? Should they hold hands or act like they’ve never met? We decided to create two distinctive brands that are as strong standing on their own as they are sitting next to each other. That had shared DNA, but their own identities, attitudes, mythology. Like really cool cousins. And now that both are here and we can look at them standing next to each other... Inspired by the cosmos, lake and architecture, the color palette designer @akocher9 developed for @ClevelandAstra anchors us in Cleveland while we look up toward the stars: VIOLET AD ASTRA 💜 is the color of a nebula. Invisible to the naked eye, but through a telescope, you can see blue-violet clouds: it’s stars taking shape! You’re not seeing what is; you’re seeing the future. LAKE ERIE MIDNIGHT 🌊 is a deep navy, nearly black, evoking the night skies over Lake Erie with a dash of starlight. GOLDEN ERA ✨ is an architectural gold inspired by Cleveland’s great age of ambition, civic design and industry, reflected in such landmarks as the Arcade, Guardians of Traffic and Terminal Tower.

She’s here ✨ Cleveland Astra was named as much for the cosmos that inspire joy, curiosity and wonder – as the soccer stars that consistently emerge from our region. Latin for “stars,” @ClevelandAstra aims to be a gathering force. A constant, a guiding light. Shaping the core of our crest is Ursa Major, the Great Bear constellation that’s ever present in the sky and points explorers toward the North Star. We will continue to tell the story of this team, all of the stars across Northeast Ohio, and create this new chapter in Cleveland sports history, together. Let’s go, Astra! ⚽️
