First time the car actually dodged something in the road without intervention
42
Had to end my longest FSD streak because the car could not decide whether to take the right turn(which it should have), or go straight. That streak was at 231 miles. I allowed the car to do whatever and to park where ever it wanted to and navigate the way it wanted to go. Thankfully a newer update will be coming this year that fixes both of those issues, because parking is terrible and the current navigation routes are terrible(if you know faster ways to get where you are going). Since the car will not park in my garage, I will now intervene every single time when I get home because it will not park in the garage. I will intervene every single time it goes to park somewhere I do not want it to in parking lots. I will intervene every time the navigation is incorrect. You know what I want. I want to keep the longest FSD streak, but I also want to have an average FSD streak. Remove the top 2 longest streaks, and bottom 2 streaks, and give me an average FSD streak. I bet my average streak is 3-5 miles.

Just messed up my FSD streak. Yellow light, car was indecisive. Normally I would let it play out, however a police car was sitting at that light, so I was forced to intervene and stop the car. That FSD streak was 51 miles and is my longest FSD streak in the city. My longest with highway, what is listed as my longest streak, is 56 miles. I don't count an FSD streak with highway miles, that's like cheating.

My longest FSD streak is at 56 miles. That was mainly highway. My current longest city driving (everyday driving) FSD streak is currently at 28 miles. Right now there are only two things that will stop that streak. Parking and road dips. Parking will get better over time. Road dips, for those who don't know, are used for channeling water through an intersection. But they can also be used in similar fashion to speed bumps. The car will slow down for speed bumps, but does not for road dips. I have my navigation to go different routes just because I will be forced to take over because the car does not see the road dips or slow down for them.

Two things today about FSD. One is navigation, the other is Smart Summon or ASS For navigation, under favorites, I would like to be able to save a route to my favorites. For example, I go to the gym daily, I want to go a specific way, but the car does not. I want to be able to set the route I want to go, then save that route to my favorites. Addtionally, I want to be able to save an approximate location where I want the car to park. For Smart Summon, I know everyone wants to not have to hold the button down, so not that. What I would like to have is when I select the car to Summon, show me the route the car is going to take, if I like that route, then I would accept it. Sometimes the car will take the long way around the parking lot. The other thing with Summon is if my phone loses connection to the car, the car should proceed to the last known location. Currently when the car loses connection to your phone, the car abruptly stops. This happens a lot when your phone is connected to wifi when you start summon, then your phone to switched to cellular internet. The car just stops. And you cannot connect back to it, so then you look like an idiot running to your car because you are blocking the parking lot.

Supposed to have a large tool box delivered yesterday by Estes Freight lines. The driver called and said that he could not deliver it because he could not get his truck in the neighborhood. That's a first for me. I've had so many deliveries at my house by trucks with a full size trailer that I have lost count. But this driver says he can't do it. Today, same driver, can't deliver it. At least that is what he says. I tell them that I paid for delivery to my driveway, and have it set up, it costs extra money to do so. I cannot pick it because I have a car and there is no way that toolbox can fit in my car. The entire reason for delivery with assembly is because I have a broken arm from surgery and cannot lift anything. I have friends with trucks and they are willing to help, but I feel like I shouldn't have to get them to help out. Called up the company and they said that they will delivery it to my closest Lowes store, and then they will deliver it. But that will not happen until next week. Seriously? So an item that should have been delivered yesterday, will be delivered in the future sometime. I can almost guarantee that it will be damaged and I will have to go through all of this again.

Got v14.3.3 today. Had my first two drives with it, the drive I take almost daily FSD to the gym and then back home. The only thing on the way to the gym that was an issue was the beginning and the end. It struggled backing out of my driveway, but took forever. Then it wanted to park where I did not want it to, so I had to interevene. No big deals there, more of an annoyance than anything else. The way back home had problems. This is the exact same route to the gym, just reversed, and I take this route almost daily with FSD. The first intervention happened right out of the parking lot. I set the navigation to go left out of the parking lot, the car wanted to go right. I got on the higway and that is where the main problems were. I was behind to semi's going the same speed in both lanes. The car wanted to pass, but couldn't because neither truck would speed up or slow down. The car decided to weave back and forth behind moth trucks. I intervened the second time it tried to do that. Finally the truck in the left lane decided to speed up, I turned FSD on, my car followed. Then my car moved to the right lane immediately after I passed the truck on the right lane, and it wanted to pass the truck in the left lane. I could tell that the truck in the left lane was going to move over to the right lane, so I intervened to slow down to allow the truck to move over. I manually passed the truck in the left lane and then moved the car over into the right lane. With my exit coming up, I turned FSD back on. I am within a half mile of the exit, and the car will not get into the exit lane. It has never done that before. I waited to see if it would do anything, it did not. Navigation was correct, just the car would not move over to the exit lane. I intervened so I could take the exit. After the exit, the next issues I had were when i clicked on the turn signal to change lanes, it would not change lanes. There were no vehicles around, tried again, the car would not change lanes. I intervened to change lanes. Come up to a stop light and turn FSD back on. After the light turns green, the car wanted to go back into the right lane. That right lane was ending in 200 feet. Again, there are no other vehicles around me. I intervened again to keep the car in the lane that it needed to be in. Then when getting home, it would not park in the garage. Not that I expected that because it never does, but I had to intervene so I could park the car in the garage.

Summon did something that I have never had it do before, the car stopped in the middle of a parking lot. Just stopped while coming to pick me up. I could not get it to move nor would it re-engage with that app. I had to run over to the car because it was holding other people up. This has never happened before. I just got the new v14.3.3 update today.

Another day, no update

I suspect the v14.3.3 will be out this week, and it will go wide. How do I know this. I am going out of town on Thursday, and will not be back until late Sunday. I'm still on v14.2.x like many other users, and would really like to have the new FSD update since I paid for it out right. As far as the spring update goes, the only thing I care about is the sound update and the blind spot indicator. Nothing else in the update is of concern to me.

When my car is driving me around on FSD, I often wonder if the people around realize that the car is driving and not me

The price for this is absurb. This is just to participate in the race. This does not include travel, place to stay, or food while you are there. After a quick search for hotels, the closest that came up for the dates of the race is $443 a night. You are required to be there by the Thursday before the race, so that means a minimum stay of 4 days. So with taxes and fees, you are looking at $2k for the hotel. Before anything you have spend $3k and you still have not gotten there and had anything to eat.

FSD v14.2.2.3 still has brake stabbing. Got the update two days ago. I have had this happen at least 5 times now. With v14.2.2.2 it happened some but not that often. It now feels like it did when v14.1.1 came out. I prefer v13.2.8 over any of the newer versions. That version was way smoother and I could adjust my max speed.

Coming from using a Tesla, I do not understand why some many people like Android Auto and Apple Car Play. I have used both Android Auto and Apple Car Play in my Lincoln Nautilus. Do they work, sure they do. Are they better than most car manufacturers infotainment, most likely. But neither are anywhere close to what Tesla has native to their vehicles.

FSD v14.2.2.2 has been just a bit off all week. I drive the exact same roads, just about every day. This week the speeds it has been going have been off from the previous few weeks. The road I use daily from my house is 45 mph. With no cars around the range of speed has varied from 35 mph to 55 mph. I'm using Hurry mode all the time in the city. I have never had it actually go the speed limit in any mode. At times, it is taking too long to get up to speed and I have to press down on the accelerator. The speed limit in my neighborhood is 35 mph. There are multiple signs around that say this. The car recognizes it. However, the car will not go over 23 mph in any mode unless I press down on the accelerator. Very late lane changes have crept back in which drives me crazy. This bothers me to no end. When using FSD, that means I am not in a hurry. The car needs to go ahead and get in the lane it needs to and doesn't need to wait to the very last second to change lanes. This happens in Mad max, Hurry, and Standard modes. I never use Chill or Sloth, so I do not know if those have the same problem or not. I have had the stop sign hesitation happen two times this week, where before this week I didn't get it at all after updating to v14.2.2.2. The navigation is automatically switching routes to my destination while I'm driving and I don't know it has changed until it's too late. I set the way I want to go, I do not want it to change. The car is more than welcome to prompt me and talk to me to let me know a quicker route is found, but I need to make the decision. Also, just because navigation says the route is faster, it is not always the fastest route.
