Have the New England #Patriots decided to enlist a local primary school on defence tonight? They just run wherever, leaving multiple Bears wide open, and attempt tackles largely with the force of a teddy bears

The Republican Party of Florida is suing to stop you from seeing this ad. They threatened TV stations with criminal charges for running it. We’re not taking it down. We will make this as clear as possible to all Floridians: James Uthmeier and Ashley Moody stole $10 million from sick kids.

Yesterday the Dodgers radio call option on @MLBTV was 3 seconds early. Today it’s about 2 seconds late. Any chance this can be fixed please? #ATLvsLAD

Anyone else trying to watch the #NLDS on @MLBTV with the @Dodgers radio call? Am I the only one where the radio audio is about 4.5 seconds ahead of the video? For the price they make us pay for the subscription, we really get poor service during the #MLBpostseason every year.

I have no dog in the fight, but I reckon in the final 5 minutes of the first quarter the umpires made a couple of pretty harsh calls against Freo. #AFLGF

This person is a fuckwit. Makes an AI image, then carries on as though afraid of what the AI image shows. Poses an interesting question. Is artificial intelligence or genuine stupidity the bigger threat?
Perfect! Bye! Dont let the door hit you on the way out.

The image in this post shows signs of being AI-generated, including garbled nonsensical text on background classroom posters and schedules. No credible news reports document this scene or teachers issuing such an ultimatum. fullfact.org/culture-and-so… fullfact.org/blog/2025/apr/… snopes.com/articles/47142…

I just put @abcnews on to catch some news before heading out for the day. Headline story? The mistrial declaration in the tragic case in the US where three children were killed. A sad story, for sure. The most important story in the world for an Australian audience? I doubt it.

Today in ‘what the actual fuck?’
Fox News complains that underage teenage girls aren’t getting pregnant enough: “The problem is teens and young adults. From ages 15-19, the fertility rate is down 70% in the last 2 decades, which means we are telling people who are young not to have babies.”

Just think. If the world is genuinely fucked, and a handful of people have worked out a way to survive the Armageddon we’re bringing upon ourselves, they’d want to keep the rest of us distracted in the meantime…
BREAKING: Trump just posted an AI slop video of armed ducks marching and firing in unison on “Lake America.” He’s gone completely insane.

Too many ‘real housewives’ and not enough thinkers. #TraitorsAU 2026 So much shouting and overacting, it’s just not compulsive viewing.

Oh, I forgot, the idea of having family in it, and not as a ‘secret relationship’ that no other contestants know about, has been appalling.

The USA. Where democracy went, thinking it could grow, and instead went to die; and where corruption is king.
Clarence Thomas claiming to be "under attack" for ProPublica exposing his two decades of undisclosed luxury gifts, property deals, and tuition payments totaling nearly $6 million is peak victimhood theater. It's not an attack to document a Supreme Court Justice ignoring federal disclosure laws, nor is "my rich friends told me it was fine" a valid defense for pocketing millions in largesse from a GOP megadonor. Getting caught for blatant ethical breaches isn't persecution; it's basic accountability finally catching up. The fact he runs to Ted Cruz for comfort, a senator who champions "law and order" only when convenient, perfectly illustrates the selective outrage. They complain about a two-tiered justice system while actively demonstrating that for their side, the rules simply don't apply. From Crow's lawyers telling the Senate to take contempt chances to Thomas’s wife pushing election lies, it’s a consistent pattern: principles are negotiable when your own are on the hook. alternet.org/clarence-thomas…

One has to wonder how the @AFL feels about its free to air broadcast partner beating up something like this, where the club had booked a venue to have some fun, into a ScAnDaL!!! With partners like these…
Richmond players say they are embarrassed by their Mad Monday antics but deny they were making light of the Sydney Swans hotel scandal. The pub footage has given league bosses a new headache ahead of the AFL Awards.

Who wants numeracy skills from their prospective government anyway? If this is typical of what the Libs are offering, it’s little wonder their voters are being picked off by One Notion.
Jess Wilson says a 1% PT fare increase means an extra $60 a week. For that to be true, commuters would need to be spending $6,000 a week on public transport (more than $300k a year). Did someone check the numbers for the part-time Shadow Treasurer?

Catching up on #TraitorsAU and Jeebus..!The overreactions from some (e.g. Rachael) and overreacting from most are getting worse. I know it’s what’s expected from reality ‘stars’ but so many of them have forgotten it’s a TV game show. Mind you, remembering that didn’t save Dicko.

So please @Channel10AU, next time can you either have a cast of people famous for more than reality TV, or a cast of regular people? Force your people to watch the UK version. All of it. It’s cultural phenomenon over there, and there’s a reason for it.

Been a few months.,Flicked on @abcnews #insiders. First up a montage, still dwelling on ‘melons’. Can’t believe anyone outside of political media gives a flying proverbial about it. I hope Albo’s media person who thought it (and his Kyle spots) were a good idea has been sacked

@PhilGould15 @NRLonNine Re: Bunker How about on-field ref makes decision which is final unless challenge is made? I.e. No automatic review of every try but each team gets 2 challenges. First one burnt regardless of success, second one retained if upheld or unclear video evidence.

Every game it seems there’s something - often more than one - that the bunker intervenes on that nobody wants. We crow about the skills of our game and players, but the current system seems to be working to counter it and upset fans. Just check Twitter about the NRL tonight.
