And it was also great to catch up with Victoria Hills, CEO of the Royal Town Planning Institute at the #cihtannuallunch
The #cihtannuallunch also featured excellent speeches by President Neil Johnstone and Baroness Brown on the journey towards carbon net zero - great to see CIHT in such great health with 1600 in attendance
Had an enjoyable lunch with CIHT at The Grosvenor House on Friday topped off by a stand-up performance by comedian Milton Jones whose comedy was fast and frequently hilarious. Disconcertingly, since I was sitting nearby he spent a lot of his act staring straight at me!
Celebrating Black Professionals in Construction with @Fabiana_QJ at the BPIC Awards at East Wintergarden in Canary Wharf - a great evening to celebrate the excellence of Black and Asian professionals in construction.
So this happened yesterday. At Reading Town Hall to receive an Honorary Doctorate from the University College of Estate Management.

What a difference a year makes! One year we’re running the show - the next “it’s just a gathering of people in Egypt”.

Started the week with a delicious lunch at the House of Lords, courtesy of the Earl of Lindsay in his capacity as Chair of UKAS, together with Matt Ganley (CEO) and Richard Collins - highly enjoyable lunch and I managed to get the chocolates back without them melting! 🤣🤣🤣
Congratulations to Mark Reynolds on his appointment as industry chair of the Construction Leadership Council and to Richard Robinson (CEO of Atkins) on his appointment as the new CLC Deputy Chair
