🚨 #BREAKING: American man "kidnaps" Flock camera, subjecting it against its will to 23,040 license plates per second.
Israels F-35s fly in "beast mode", carrying 6x2000lb bombs, because they don't need stealth. The flight to Gaza is only ~70km but the takeoff + landing mean the plane burns 30% / 2000L of fuel and releasing 4-5 tons of CO2 in the process, about as much as an average car in a year
I had to find the source for the 'Magna Farta' line from Sam Starling episode of @nogodsnomayors and there it is, Howell's Complete Collection of State Trials Vol VI
The fact that it's censored is even funnier
Also shout-out to the Nasty-hole
>sam altman: "we tried this because there were rumor on the internet"
>rumor: math professor close to solving navier-stokes
>the professor: using codex for a year
>openai: has all his logs
>checked every codex session tagged to N-S
>found the most promising one
>spun up 10,000 agents to finish the proof where he couldn't
>they got caught
>told the guy if you say anything you'll destroy your own career
>he ruins his career over this
>openai: "we did not see his work"
>also openai: "we cannot rule out that de-identified data from their usage helped improve our models"
they stole it lmao
Every once in a while we get a reminder that he is genuinely fucking stupid and it's kind of a mixed blessing

Growing waves of wind turbine and solar panel retirements starting in the 2030s will expose the massive physical nightmare of continuous renewal and replacement.
Cumulative waste is projected to reach 78 million tonnes for solar panels and up to 200 million tonnes for wind turbines by mid-century.
Because wind and solar have low capacity factors and finite lifespans (15–25 years), generating firm power requires significant overbuilding, backed by battery storage, transmission and costly backup energy.
Replacing this fleet on a continuous cycle guarantees an endless demand for raw materials, mining, and manufacturing.
It creates a replacement loop that will multiply mining throughput for steel, copper, aluminum, silicon, silver, rare earths and composite blade materials. Expanding to multi-terawatt scales will exacerbate existing critical mineral shortages.
Closed-loop recycling at this scale remains largely aspirational as blade composites are notoriously difficult to recycle, with large volumes historically sent to landfills. Decommissioning, and recycling infrastructure lag far behind deployment, most likely leaving behind significant unfunded liabilities.
Ultimately, these challenges will become physical, logistical and economic, reflecting the massive reality behind the ambition of the buildout.

New York: it's hot out there, and the power grid is working overtime to keep us cool.
Set your AC to 78 degrees, turn off lights/electronics you're not using, and unplug what you can.
Our City is doing its part too: maintaining the 78 degrees rule in our buildings, dimming/turning off our lights during peak electricity demand, asking private partners to do the same, and powering down non-essential equipment.
A stable grid means the AC stays on, and lives are saved. Let's ease demand — and get through the heat — together.

Who is paying people to shoot up synagogues in Toronto? Some things to consider:
1. Israel benefits when Jews around the world are targeted.
2. Israel has a long history of targeting Jewish sites (Palestine in the 1920s & 1940s, Iraq in 1950s, Iran in 2026) in false flag operations.
3. Israel is scared of losing their leverage over world Jewry.
4. Israel aggressively seeks to create pro-Israel governments around the world via the antisemitism industrial complex.
5. Israel supporters also frequently carry out false flag antisemitic operations against Jews. palestinenexus.com/articles/…
If I was a betting man, I'd bet these attacks are the work of Israeli intelligence or Israel enthusiasts.
This is further suggested by the nature of the attacks: they targeted the exteriors of buildings, no people were hurt or even targeted. The shooters were bought and paid for.
They are trying to frame Iran, yet no evidence is presented in either of these articles to suggest Iran was involved.
The theory that Iran was involved defies everything we know about Iranian foreign policy, Iranian strategy, Iran's state ideology.
Israel poses the greatest existential threat to Jews around the world. there is no second place.

Man these teen social media bans... not good, not good at all. Everyone is assuming the effects are negative and the data doesn't show that at all. What it does show is that the likely outcome is no effect overall and a massive spike in LGBTQ teen suicides.
That's good, right? 10% seems pretty low??

People are talking about Index and Pension funds having to buy SpaceX stock because of it getting listed on the NASDAQ but a lot of these funds have ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) exemptions that let them back out of investing in harmful things like tobacco, arms etc
When Elon rolled twitter into xAI into SpaceX he brought along some baggage: notably a massive class action suit against xAI because Grok generated tens of thousands of CSAM images in a couple weeks. If this isn't an ESG exemption I don't know what is
