🏈 TROY FALL PREVIEW: NICK HAMPTON @_Nick_Hampton Position: Tight End Class: Freshman Height/Weight: 6-3 / 215 Hometown: Gulf Shores, Ala. High School: Gulf Shores HS ⚔️ NEW FACE TO WATCH Freshman tight end Nick Hampton arrives at Troy with a proven ability to make plays in the passing game and find the end zone. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Gulf Shores product wrapped up his final two high school seasons with 71 receptions for 890 yards and 15 touchdowns, giving the Trojans another young offensive weapon with strong production on his résumé. As a senior, Hampton caught 36 passes for 512 yards and seven touchdowns. That followed an impressive junior campaign in which he totaled 35 receptions for 378 yards and eight scores. His performance earned him an opportunity to compete in the Alabama North-South All-Star Game. Hampton was also rated a consensus three-star recruit by ESPN, On3 and 247Sports. On3 ranked him among the top 100 prospects in Alabama, while ESPN listed him as the No. 89 player in the state. A multi-sport athlete who also played basketball, Hampton brings athleticism and receiving experience to Troy's tight end room. 🔥 FALL CAMP OUTLOOK For Hampton, fall camp represents his first opportunity to establish himself at the college level. With 15 touchdown receptions over his final two high school seasons, he enters Troy with a track record as a scoring threat. The challenge now is making the transition from high school to college football and competing for opportunities in the Trojans' offense. Nick Hampton is one of Troy's young newcomers to keep an eye on throughout fall camp. #TroyTrojans | #OneTROY | #BattleReady | #TroyFootball | #FallCamp | #TroyReport
