Happy New Year.
In 2026, we will move forward with the “Second Phase” that leads into KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS’ “Third Phase.”
Unlike last year, like I was traveling all over the world, this year will be about staying grounded and laying solid foundations. We will continue development on the horror game “OD” and move forward with preparations for the espionage action title “PHYSINT.” This includes casting actors, scanning, and performance capture shoots.
Also, be pushing forward with the live-action film of DEATH STRANDING, as well as its animation projects, both the movie and series. In addition, we’re preparing several “events” this year. Once things are finalized, I’ll be able to share more.
This year also marks my 40th anniversary in the game industry from 1986 and began my journey in game creation. Thank you, as always, for your continued support and supporting KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS. I look forward to another great year 🐎

I casually started watching “KPop Demon Hunters,” got completely hooked, and ended up crying my eyes out by the end. It was so, so good 🥺🫶

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Director Naoki Hamaguchi says one of his favorite games this year is Donkey Kong Bananza.
"So in terms of Switch 2 titles, I'd say the Donkey Kong game (Bananza) on Switch 2, I thought it was amazing.
I guess you can't really call it a real open world, but then, I felt that the sort of interaction that one can gain with the world inside of it was truly amazing.
It's definitely one of the top picks for me for this year."

Watching an old Twilight Zone episode where a man becomes obsessed with a devil machine coin fortune teller.
The machine gives generic answers but he becomes paralyzed, unable to make a decision without consulting it.
Anyway, some of these episodes are a bit farfetched.

On March 28th, 2025 I helped run the first ever video game tournament inside of Folsom Prison for it's inmates!
It featured Mario Kart 64, and Street Fighter 2 Turbo inside the Greystone Chapel where 64 boys in blue duked it out for glory!
