Not allowing press onto government property isn’t authoritarian. But making laws to imprison press for investigating fraudulent government programs that pay turds like Newscum is.

🚨126 terrorism suspects identified in online operation targeting terrorist networks
During Operation Shams, specialized officers and experts from 11 countries extracted 108,076 facial images from visual content published by jihadist groups.
They then used programmed AI agents and advanced AI-generated scripts to collect information and narrow the dataset to 6,362 unique facial images ready for processing through INTERPOL’s Facial Recognition System.
AI-generated output was subject to review and verification by trained officers and analysts, in accordance with INTERPOL's Rules on the Processing of Data.
Intelligence gathered on the Foreign Terrorist Fighters identified so far has been added to INTERPOL’s global databases to enrich existing suspect profiles and disrupt terrorist movements.

🚨 Wanted by Sweden, arrested in the United Arab Emirates
Authorities in the UAE have arrested the subject of an INTERPOL Red Notice wanted by Sweden on money laundering charges. At the same time, Swedish police arrested six other members of the same network.
Investigators believe the network handled around SEK 70 million over 10 months, collecting illicit proceeds and transferring them to other criminal actors through cryptocurrency.
By tracing cryptocurrency transactions and analysing digital evidence, investigators also identified financial links to serious organized crime.
An excellent example of international police cooperation 🤝

That is the danger of unchecked power.
America was not designed for leaders who act like winning an election gives them permission to ignore the people. That includes unchecked power in Washington, unchecked power in Springfield, and unchecked power here in Illinois where too many families feel like decisions are being made without their voices at the table.
We see it when taxpayers are asked to pay more while results get worse.
We see it when parents are ignored while schools struggle.
We see it when communities demand safety, but political leaders protect systems instead of families.
We see it when the will of the people is treated like an inconvenience instead of a responsibility.
That is why our constitutional republic matters.
Majority rule has a place, but it must be restrained by the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, checks and balances, and real representation.
Your rights should not disappear because a political machine has the votes.
Your voice should not be silenced because rogue leadership thinks power belongs to them.
Illinois does not need more political steamrolling. We need leaders who remember that government exists to serve the people, protect liberty, and deliver results.
Representation, not domination.
Accountability, not arrogance.
A constitutional republic, not rule by the machine.

If not enough Illinois kids are reading at grade level, well then, lower the standards!
That’s exactly what Gov. Pritzker and his State Board of Education appointees voted for last year. They lowered reading and math standards significantly.
Unsurprisingly, more kids are suddenly doing better on reading and math tests.
It’s Pritzker’s way of hiding how his education policies – and those of the teachers unions – are hurting Illinois children.
On the national standardized tests (NAEP) in 2024, just 13% of 4th-grade black children in Illinois could read at grade level. It was only 11% for math. Latino scores weren’t much better.
Here’s what should change:
Spending statewide is now at nearly $25,000 per kid. That’s more than enough to do the following:
1. Return standards to where they were and hold teachers, administrators and parents accountable.
2. Get back to phonics, phonics, phonics.
3. Don’t let kids go to the 4th grade unless they’re at the 3rd-grade level. Test young children throughout the year to stay on target, and to catch those students falling behind.
4. Stop teaching DEI, identitarian politics and social justice. Focus on the three Rs and science. Re-train and re-focus teachers on the core subjects.
5. Roll back the teachers union’s collective bargaining powers to just salaries. End their strike powers.
6. Reform pensions going forward so that they stop draining money from classrooms.
7. Enact universal school choice across the state. Education Savings Accounts for all.
Importantly, there’s a nasty negative correlation between teacher union powers and literacy. That’s why it’s so important to strip Illinois unions of their extreme powers – among the strongest, and maybe the strongest, in the country.
It’s time to fight back.

At Ground Zero, after the last living person was pulled out, the search dogs stopped eating.
So the police did something nobody had written down in any manual.
They climbed into the rubble, lay down, and pretended to be alive.
More than 300 dogs worked the World Trade Center site. They came from every corner of the country, on trucks and in cargo holds, with handlers who had been trained to do one thing. Find people who are still breathing under the ground.
That is what a search and rescue dog is built for. Not bodies. Life. They are trained on live human scent. When they find it, they bark, they dig, they light up, and the handler rewards them, and the whole thing means something.
The last living person recovered from Ground Zero was a woman named Genelle Guzman-McMillan. She had been buried for 27 hours. A dog found her.
She was the last.
After that, the dogs kept going out on twelve-hour shifts, across sixteen acres of smoldering steel, at temperatures that burned their paws, and they found nobody.
Nobody.
Day after day.
The handlers noticed it first. The dogs were changing. Their tails were down. They were not eating. They would come off the pile and lie flat and not look at anyone.
A veterinarian named Cindy Otto, who spent ten days there working night shifts to care for the animals, put it plainly. The dogs had been sent to find life, and every day they were finding the opposite.
It was breaking them.
An NYPD officer named Famiglietti described what happened next.
They pulled everybody off the rubble. Then they asked for volunteers.
The volunteers, police officers, went out into the debris and hid themselves. Under beams. In voids. Curled up in pockets of concrete. They were told to lie down like they were hurt. Then the handlers sent the dogs in.
Picture that.
A grown man with a badge, a man who had spent the last week pulling friends out of that same pile, lying down in it on purpose. Face down. Holding still. Waiting for a dog.
And the dog comes over the top of the wreckage, and catches the scent, and barks, and digs, and finds a person who is warm and moving and alive.
And the handler says good girl, good boy, and the whole team celebrates.
They called them mock finds.
They did it for the dogs.
They did it so the dogs would remember what they were for.
One of those dogs was a two-year-old golden retriever named Bretagne. She came from Texas with her handler, Denise Corliss. It was her first deployment. They worked ten days at Ground Zero. They found no survivors.
But firefighters would come off the pile, stone-faced, not speaking, and see the dog, and something would break open in them. They would kneel down. They would put their face in her fur.
One day a man walked up to Bretagne and started petting her. He told Corliss his best friend loved golden retrievers.
Corliss asked where his friend was.
The man pointed at the pile.
"He's in there somewhere."
He kept petting the dog.
Bretagne went on to work Hurricane Katrina and Rita. She retired at 10. She was the last known surviving search dog of 9/11.
On June 6, 2016, at age 16, she was carried into a veterinary office in Texas to be put to sleep.
Outside, a dozen firefighters from her fire department stood in a line in their dress uniforms, in the heat, and saluted as she went past.
They draped her in an American flag on the way out.
Three hundred dogs went into that pile looking for the living.
They found one.
And when they could not find any more, the men they worked beside laid down in the rubble and let themselves be found, so the dogs would not lose heart.
That is the whole story of Ground Zero, really.
Nobody could save the dead.
So they saved each other. 🇺🇸
