Fuji Yama Restaurant is defined by a series of sculptural wooden panels developed through parametric 3D modeling, creating a rhythmic interior inspired by contemporary Japanese design. 🎓Subscribe to our newsletter: parametric-architecture.com/… The wooden elements are combined with high-performance acoustic baffles made from recycled PET bottles. Running parallel to the timber panels, these acoustic absorbers become an integral part of both the spatial experience and the overall design. 📸 Simeon Johnke

Developed in the mid-1960s for a growing parish, the church’s roof unfolds like a sculpted shell, echoing prehistoric geometries and the logic of origami. Its ultra-thin 7 cm concrete surface, clad in copper, creates a surprisingly lightweight presence that appears to float above the ground. The project emerged from a close dialogue between architect and engineer, supported by early computational calculation methods that made such complex geometries buildable.
