Following the Nuggets has had so little joy in it the past couple of seasons. Really lowered my priority for watching games or consuming content regarding the team.
David Adelman would like to open the season with a 10 man rotation. As the season goes on, that may narrow down. But he’d like to go 10 deep.

Astonishing to think how much better the world will be when all the boomers are dead. Worst generation in the history of the world.

Sell the Nuggets to your Walmart cousins, you slimy cunt. We all know you don’t give a fuck about Colorado.
Breaking: Stan Kroenke & Kroenke Sports and Entertainment have entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a controlling interest in the Los Angeles Angels from Arte Moreno. Kroenke will now own controlling interests in the Rams (NFL), Angels (MLB), Nuggets (NBA), Avalanche (NHL) and Arsenal.

Regardless if Watson returned vs MIN, DEN made their decision with him before last season. He had a breakout year and then got injured before RFA. Look at MPJ - injured in the playoffs, his play gets completely demolished while playing for the good of the team, then gets dumped
In a snippet from the Curious Mike podcast, Peyton Watson says he felt a little rushed while recovering from hamstring strains last season. Full episode drops tomorrow morning.

What a gawdawful roster
Denver has to commit real minutes to Julian Strawther (and potentially risk another tough restricted free agency). Having little to no idea how camp will go, I think the second unit should initially be Tyus Jones, Strawther, DeMar DeRozan, Spencer Jones and Marvin Bagley. And actually, I think that lineup has the potential to be decent.

Running it back minus PWat and THJ was the worst possible outcome and here we are 🫠🫠🫠

No sooner did the Nuggets win a title than Calvin Booth nuked any chance of it happening again. Considering its impact in destroying a contender, it can now be considered one of the worst contracts in NBA history.

Listening to one of these career retrospectives on Russell Westbrook, and I just think so much of the NBA media world is objectively and fundamentally wrong about his 2016-17 MVP season. I've heard and read a bunch about how he was "inefficient" and/or "didn't impact winning," but the opposite was true in the MVP year. On efficiency, the league-average true shooting percentage (TS%) that season was 55.2. Russ (55.4) was above that mark. 15 teams were below it. More importantly, the OKC Thunder were one of those teams below average in 2016-17, but their TS% was 4.3 points better when Westbrook was on the floor. And seven of the nine players who played at least 400 minutes with Westbrook that season had higher TS%s when sharing the floor with him. That brings us to the sometimes nebulous idea of whether or not a player impacts winning or makes his teammates better. Beyond the aforementioned impact on his teammates' scoring efficiency that season, OKC's point differential was around that of a 51-win team when he was on the floor in 2016-17. It was around that of an 18-win team when he was off. That net rating swing was dramatically bigger than those of James Harden and Kawhi Leonard (who finished 2nd and 3rd in MVP voting). On top of all of the above, Wesbrook led the NBA in box plus/minus, wins over replacement player (the cumulative version of box plus/minus), player efficiency rating, assist percentage, points per game, points, and of course, triple-doubles. Westbrook wasn't just a reasonable choice for MVP in 2016-17. He was probably the right one.

Unfortunately for Peyton, this is exactly what the Nuggets should be doing and his agent let him down by not making him a day 1 priority for teams. Now there’s no cap space and all the agency can do is bluster and be loud. This is all in the Nuggets hands.
Peyton Watson has one foot out the door with him and his camp feeling disrespected by the Nuggets, per @BrettSiegelNBA Denver has only offered Watson a new deal that is slightly better than the mid-level exception

First round embarrassment, Kn*cks win the title, LeBron chooses Embiid over Jokic, Spencer Jones signs with Satan, THJ walks for nothing, Josh Kroenke is Jerry Jones. Yeah these have been the worst few NBA months I can remember.
