In her new book, Women in Power: Fighting for Democracy in an Age of Authoritarianism, CFR expert @RobinsonL100 highlights women leaders on the front lines of the battle between democracy and authoritarianism. One of these women is Maia Sandu, the president of Moldova, who has successfully fought against Russian hybrid warfare while rooting out corruption in her own government. "Other countries can take a lesson from this small country and how it has strengthened domestic resilience, reaching out across ethnic, religious, and social divides to build a stronger country," says Robinson.
