After heavily experimenting with driving my own car, ridesharing, bicycling and scooters (buses don’t work for my schedule), I can see the utility in all of them for different situations. For me Scooter: <2 miles Bicycles: <5 miles Ridesharing: <10 miles Drive yourself: >10 miles
