As winter weather moves into the area, @CFD_Alarm is increasing staffing and preparing for a surge in 911 calls this weekend.
Dispatchers are overstaffing every shift to ensure the closest, fastest help is sent when emergencies happen. If you need help, don’t hesitate to call 911. Crews are ready to respond and support the community through the storm.

This is just a drill. No Emergency!
Tomorrow, the Charlotte Region Urban Area Security Initiative, along with dozens of partner agencies, will conduct large-scale emergency response training at Carowinds from October 7 to 9. Expect visible police, fire, and EMS presence in the area from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Loud noises, simulated gunfire, explosions, and emergency vehicles are part of the exercise. This is ONLY a drill, not an emergency. The park will be closed to the public.
This training helps first responders strengthen coordination and improve emergency preparedness for real-world incidents. Thank you for your cooperation as we work to improve emergency preparedness across our region.
Update from yesterday’s 2-Alarm on Revolution Park Drive. Solid work by our CFD members on a hot day! #CFDpride
Replying to @CharlotteFD
Structure Fire Update: 3900 block of Revolution Park Drive. The Charlotte Fire Investigation Task Force determined the fire originated in a large pile of cardboard. The winds contributed to the fire spread to surrounding cardboard. The majority of the fire was contained to the exterior. Although there was extension of fire to the interior of the building, it was mostly controlled by the sprinkler system. Estimated content/property loss $65K.
