Still baffles me that we gave them the MHL 🤯
On this day in 2004 West Ham were beaten 1-0 by Chelsea in a League Cup 4th round tie at Stamford Bridge with 41,774 in attendance.
The lasting memory from this match was the penalty save by @jimmywalker001
Fair play for this. Countless times, it’s the players fault and not the manager, yet the manager always gets the stick.
Emotional exit by Michael Carrick as fans sing his name. A farewell?
Supporters turn on players once Carrick down tunnel.

Bit like spitting at a kid eh @Carra23
‘You’ve got to do things you don’t want to do, I mean we’re sitting here with Mark Goldbridge…’
Carra vs Goldbridge is one for the ages 🤣🤣

Don’t let people that haven’t been Knebworth dampen your spirits over it, it’s going to be the best venue of the lot and by some distance!!
But it’s okay to single us out for selling tickets to a mate for face value 🙄
NEW: Football fans will be allowed to drink in the stands for the first time in 40 years under Andy Burnham’s bid to rip up the historic booze ban.
The PM is looking at repealing the controversial 1980s law prohibiting alcohol being slugged within sight of the pitch.
He said it was unfair that football supporters were “singled out” for such curbs and that there was a "case to remove that discrimination".
But it risks teeing up a showdown with cops who have long feared it would only fuel outbursts of hooliganism at matches - and are already criticising the move.
Replying to @ctfc_b
I’m a non league fan, we’ve been drinking in stadiums up and down the country for years tbf
