Sad to hear of the passing of goalkeeper John Vaughan #864. John played a handful of games for @ChesterfieldFC in 2000 on loan from @LincolnCity_FC. His career covered a dozen clubs & more as a coach notably playing with @FulhamFC, @CambridgeUtdFC, & @pnefc as well as the Imps.
TODAY IS WEAR RED DAY! ❤️ Well done to all the Blues, wearing red like Thomas Hitzlsperger #882 @ThomasHitz, Ernie Moss #578 & Andy Morris #729 (although Bruno's was a swap!) @SRTRC_England @ChesterfieldFC #WRD26
Happy 80th birthday to former player and manager Frank Barlow #600 the only @ChesterfieldFC manager to win a European trophy!
After yesterday's match Liam Mandeville #1166 has gone level with Derek Niven #911 on 297 @ChesterfieldFC league appearances to put him in 18th position. He is also in joint 18th position for all competitive games with Les Hunter #620 on 337.
A @ChesterfieldFC first today as two players are on opposite sides in an international match. Danny Anisjko #1214 came on for @kajbumba U21s where James Sissons was already in goal for @MaltaFA1900.
Last week James was on the bench for the senior national team when @ChesterfieldYth keeper Victor Huart was on the @GibraltarFA bench.
The nearest comparison was in 1974 when recently transferred keeper Alan Stevenson #586 started for @England U23s & was joined by the current Spireite incumbent Jim Brown #605 as a substitute for @ScotlandNT

It’s been a while, taken a break after Phil. This is worth returning for
Josh Koroma #1211 gained his 4th cap for @SLFA_sl when he came on a substitute today. He joined former @ChesterfieldFC player Osman Kakay #1122 who was captaining the national team.
