Excellent speech from @KemiBadenoch at the London Defence Conference - brutally honest about the tough choices we will need to make to lift defence spending to 3%, but also willing to work with the PM to get there sooner rather than later. Serious leadership on defence.

Delighted that the UK’s Type 26 Frigate has been chosen by Norway. Proud to have played a part in the export campaign as Procurement Minister, a top priority on my visit in Dec 2023. Great news for 🇬🇧 industry - but also joint 🇬🇧 🇳🇴 Naval ops against our shared submarine threat.
🇬🇧+🇳🇴 announced a new Maritime Capability Coalition this week to support 🇺🇦 operations at sea.
Defence Minister @jcartlidgemp met Anne Aanerud & Marie Vikanes @Forsvarsdep in Oslo to discuss this crucial work and opportunities for closer collaboration between the UK and Norway.
