Postering and bannering around campus. It’s time Yale takes Ethnic Studies and its faculty seriously. We will fight for both.

RITM is excited to celebrate the Yale College class of 2020 by sharing research that graduating seniors from many departments and programs have carried out this year related to race, indigeneity, and transnational migration!

PROFESSOR ALBERT LAGUNA HAS RECEIVED TENURE -- a long overdue decision. We're ecstatic for Professor Laguna and for the future of ER&M, but the struggle for ethnic studies at Yale and universities across the country is hardly over. #EthnicStudiesNow

Harvard, like Yale and institutions like them, undermines the scholarship of faculty of color and continuously and purposefully works to push them out. Let's continue to hold them accountable!

Today, the Yale administration conceded. The thirteen faculty members are returning to a program that has the institutional status and permanence that they deserve. ER&M now has the power to make solo hires, and professors no longer have to perform double-duty. #YaleERM

There's still a lot of work ahead. Professors and students will keep building the university they want to see. But this is a reminder that labor power wins. Student power wins. People power wins.

Come out today for #JusticeForStephanie and #JusticeforPaul. New Haven is not done holding @Yale accountable.
Show up at Hamden Plaza at 5:30. The New Haven community is not leaving the streets until there’s #JusticeForStephanie. Thanks @DwightHallYale for free transportation to the protest.
As much as we learn from our ER&M professors, we learn from NHV organizers and activists.

Yale PD shot into a car in Newhallville and put Stephanie Washington in critical condition. Come to protests at Salovey’s house. Follow People Against Police Brutality. And stand against the private police force terrorizing New Haven in our names. #JusticeForStephanie
Peter Salovey made a promise to us last night. Let’s see if he keeps it. The clock is ticking, Salovey. #YaleERM
BREAKING: 80 current students, 80 alumni, and 50 allies stand with Ethnic Studies at Yale during Peter Salovey's speech at Yale Asian American Students Alliance - AASA's 50th anniversary gala. If you disrupt our education, we disrupt your speech. #YaleERM
