"Frankly, more recently, they spiraled so far to the point I made the decision to untie my laces and chuck it all away. I am no longer sided with DFW. They made me, yes. I can respect them for that.. but.. I'll NEVER respect them for the way they treated me."

"THIS IS ALL DONE THROUGH THE DRIVE, THE HARDWORK.. THE STRENGTH THAT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US WRESTLERS PUT IN FOR THIS BUSINESS." Rex pauses as the crowd roars, applauding loudly. Rex feels himself get choked up and he forces a smile for a split moment.

"I wrestled in WSW for only a few months and I simply decided to seek my way out of that. But.. no bad blood or animosity between me and them. I respect that company with all I have.. As for DFW... You all have seen the constant ups and downs. Especially as of late."

"I appreciate your cheers...after all...That's the first time in months...years even, since I've been cheered for as I stood here in a squared circle. And.. God.. it ain't fair that it's been that long."

After the match, a fatigued @TheAceOfEFEDs walks to the timekeepers area to grab a microphone. He rolls back into the ring and wastes no time speaking. "SILENCE! SILENCE FROM ALL OF YOU!" the crowd falls silent as Rex looks around, forming his next sentence in his head.

Before I was the Apex of a developmental brand. Now I'm surrounded with men who could run the real show. Even so, I promise to be the one who runs this show. The man that once this tournament is over, when the dust settles and one man stands tall as champion...it will be me."
