Weidel: "Prolonging the war and shooting drones into the hinterland of Russia, destroying refineries, houses, and buildings near Moscow, is a huge provocation."
Host: "It's defending itself."
Weidel: "No, it's not."
Host: "Every night, drones and ballistic missiles rain down on Ukraine..."
Weidel: "This strategy is very risky, and we've been criticizing it. We want to end this war.
It doesn't help if a country [Ukraine] launches drone attacks against a country [Russia] that has nuclear weapons. It doesn't make sense, it's very risky and very stupid.
We need to end this, and we need to actually put pressure on Ukrainian president to have the willingness to end the dying and stop this very risky strategy for all of Europe."🔚
Folks, here is Weidel's imaginary reality: black is white, the victim is to blame for the crime against them, and defending your home against a bloody, illegal invasion that murders children and razes towns is "stupid," while letting Russia occupy you and carry out a country-wide Bucha massacre is probably smart.
And defending yourself is risky! Risky, did you hear that? Well, no shit, just standing there and catching Russian ballistics with your face is risky, too. So we may as well take the risk and, hear me out, fight back?
Please don't vote for this evil Russian appendix in Germany!

Offtakes main option for EU #ETS #CDR purchases. EU will prepare before 2031.
It's also wants to blend offtakes with other sources of finance, as CDR is priced higher than ETS.
Gap could be filled by public finance, state aid, subsidies, private funds etc argusmedia.com/en/news-and-i…

🚨 NEW: U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has yet to approve the transfer of a "significant" batch of Patriot interceptors for Ukraine, sources say.
"It's hard to call this a 'monthly supply,' because there's no set amount of how much you need for a month," a senior Ukrainian official says. "But it's significant."
Some in Kyiv suspect Washington is holding the missiles back on purpose to pressure Ukraine, as Russia keeps striking Ukrainian cities.

For President Trump, diesel is a political problem ahead of the Midterms because its role in farming states (and a slow moving economic challenge). But gasoline is, ultimately, a much larger issue, both politically and economically (look at gas / diesel weigh on CPI basket).
The good news for the White House is that gasoline prices are moving down (which explain some of the comments today by US Treasury Sec Bessent)
As a rough rule of thumb, NY gasoline futures (in dollars per gallon) + ~$1 = nationwide average retail price. If so, US retail gasoline price heading to $4 a gallon if the trend in the wholesale market holds for several days. Wholesale prices fell today to a 2½-month low. Don't be surprised if Trump starts to complain loudly about Big Oil not moving quickly enough to lower pump prices.
