Citizen Kane is famous for it's "deep focus," a sort of visual glitch caused by using too narrow of a lens aperture. If it was made today, a more modern shallow depth of field would help audiences to know exactly where they should be looking.

Every day there are articles about plummeting movie theater attendance, cratering musician income, and overall decline in everything that isn't short-form mindless slop. If your idea is that text needs to have free short-form slop... I have great news about the site you're on.
this Beach Boys "news" reminds me, I'm making a list of what i call "Ship of Theseus Bands," where there's no one single person who was a member of the band all the way from the beginning to the breakup or the present day (not counting bands that broke up and then reunited later)

so annoying that Instagram automatically adds a random song to your "story" and i can't find any way to manually prevent it from doing this. probably i've been accidentally letting this happen forever and never noticing because every non-iTunes app is always muted
how is Instagram somehow a worse website than this one? why is the annoying secondary feature that Instagram added to be more like TikTok somehow the main space left in which to tell anyone about local DIY events? i hate it here
