It's not legal & two thirds of the public are against what you’re suggesting. The justification to force tax paying Americans to shoulder a burden for something they had no hand in & to pay other Americans, who were never slaves is (in my view) unlawful, impractical & could split the country apart. Let's say, you did convince the public & congress to pass a reparations law- the economic effect would bring crippling inflation. We're too far in debt already. Old & contemporary history shows that when governments using fiat, print too much money, economies collapsed. Even recently with covid, 4.6 trillion in stimulus spiraled the nation into almost unmanageable inflation. In fact, the nation is still suffering from that bad legislation. The 10-12 million you advocate in reparations will not create the boom you suggest, the dollar is not set to a gold or precious metal standard, it's mere fiat currency; its paper used as an agreed upon exchange for goods & services. Historically, stimulus has worked at times, but in tightly managed & controlled ways. If you print too many dollars without any solid backing, all you do is dilute the value. This sort of thing would collapse the economy, create discontent among the populace, & tear the country apart. The result would not be a prosperous America; more realistically a much weaker and possibly destroyed nation.

A sure way to crash the economy would be to pay 10+ trillion, in reparations. The $ is only worth the labor & productivity backing it, fiat currency. The more the gov. prints, the less it's worth. i.e.-See stupidity of the covid stimulus packages; gave us spiraling inflation. 😒

Thomas Sowell, has shaped much of my thinking- Black families thrived for 100 years after the abolition of slavery & had higher rates of employment, & they had that despite the ongoing racism in the country. Min. wage laws & "great society" welfare programs reversed this.

Cannot agree-workers aren't responsible to pay today for what happened in the country pre-1860. Slavery, tenant farming & Jim Crowe through the sixties were all bad history, but we have a new country today. Black Americans can thrive & prosper in spite of the historic wrongs.🧐
