Healthcare is changing rapidly with #AI. But while technology can support diagnosis and decision-making, healing continues to be deeply human.
In our latest @FinancialXpress article, Dr. Arvind Singh and I reflect on why evidence, compassion and the doctor-patient relationship will remain at the heart of #healthcare, even in the age of AI.

While India has made progress in reducing child undernutrition, child wasting remains a serious public health concern.
According to NFHS-6 (2023–24), 19% of children under five are wasted, indicating acute malnutrition often caused by inadequate dietary intake, illness, or repeated infections.
Wasting significantly increases the risk of severe illness, developmental delays, and mortality among young children. The persistence of high wasting levels underscores the urgent need to strengthen nutrition interventions, maternal and child healthcare, food security, early identification of at-risk children, and timely access to quality care.
At HRIDAY, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to grow, thrive, and reach their full potential. Through evidence-based research, health promotion, community engagement, capacity building, and multi-sectoral partnerships, we work to strengthen maternal and child health, improve nutrition, prevent disease, and advance equitable health outcomes across the life course.
Addressing child wasting requires sustained investments in nutrition, early childhood care, quality healthcare, food security, and collective action to ensure that no child is left behind.
