shitty zoomer thing, doesn't work half as well as I hoped it would. Whole thing is in rendered as 8 row sets and it tries (and sometimes succeeds) to push 1 per frame giving it a weird venetian blinds effect
Difficult to explain this, but you can change FM patches automatically by using 00xy and an instrument number, so they POP in. Was done old FM soundtracks during transitions, usually.
Is there another tracker musician who does this, or knows you can?
I’ve always wondered something about old Japanese game soundtracks. The lead delay is pitched up or down an octave (prominent in Light Crusader). Sometimes specific notes are changed.
Thing is, I’m not sure if it’s intentional or not.
In any case, I love replicating it.
As amazing as Furnace Tracker is, learning how to write music in MML and (possibly) using those original sound drivers would make me 100% satisfied with the accuracy I’m chasing.
MML isn’t that difficult, is it?
