Among the things hospitals teach you is a deep respect for disease. It is really hard to move the needle. We won't "cure all disease in 10 years". And there's a good change that medicine will still look much the same a decade from now.

Demis Hassabis: We can probably cure all diseases in the next 10 years
But investor Masayoshi Son said the same thing recently when $500 billion was invested in Project Stargate.
All we need is scale. More computing power, better algorithms.

We made a lot of effort to put all summary statistics available. There are in four different places: 1) NIAGADS: dss.niagads.org/collections/…, 2) GWAS catalog, GCST90317902–GCST903193033, 3) Pheweb browser ontime.wustl.edu/, and 4) our website: neurogenomics.wustl.edu/open…

The data could be really valuable for downstream analyses of cerebrovascular, neurodegenerative, psychiatric, or other CNS traits.

- While the protective role of GFAT on CVD risk is mediated predominantly by common vascular risk factor modification (SBP, T2DM, LDL), residual mediatory effect may be exerted by adipose-specific factors, suggesting that targeting those may provide additional vascular benefit
