Do we blame Ford, Fiat and Ferrari for such accidents? No - because that would be foolish and unjust - and yet, some falsely blame The Coca-Cola Company or PepsiCo or plastics manufacturers for litter, when science shows that litter is caused by humans, not companies.
Let's place the blame correctly, because once we do, we have solutions that work. Solutions that work for litter are education, deposits and fines.
Demonizing plastics is anti-scientific and leads to more waste, litter, GHG and fossil fuel use. Does that sound wise to you? Let's create a better future for our children based on evidence and reason, not internet myths.

See how science refutes everything we hear about plastics. How can that be? Simple - powerful people are funding an anti-plastics campaign that increases harm and cost to us. youtu.be/6NzRKm6QI44 xitter.cf/CDAPlastics/status/178…
Best to learn about science topics from professional scientists who cite peer-reviewed studies. I read over 400 scientific studies on this topic unpaid to share the science for free. Science says that would take 20 000 years to ingest a credit card of plastic and the scientists said that our exposure was "negligible". We are exposed to particles all the time but plastics are 0.001% of particles we ingest and found to be safe over 50 years of testing. Want to be scared then watch the film but if you want to be informed, then look at the science. Take a look phantomplastics.com/micropla…

Massive new review finds that plastic alternatives like metal, glass and paper increase impact in almost every case! Not only that but plastics become even greener when recycled. Interestingly, expanded polystyrene turns out to be far greener than anyone imagined because so little material is needed (it's recyclable too).

In a blow for justice, the proposed cap on plastics production has been rejected. This is important because countless life cycle studies agree that plastic is the least harmful option in the vast majority of cases.
