It’s Arizona. The battle is for 2nd place… Arizona #1 state flag.
Which State has the best flag? Be honest.

Putin is a war criminal who bombs civilians in an aggressive war for territory that he started. He also murders political opponents like Alexi Navalny & supports criminal regimes like Assad & Iran. He is absolutely NOT a humanitarian & calling him that is shameful & disgusting
Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff to Vladimir Putin today: “You talk so much about Trump being a humanitarian, you are a humanitarian also, sir. And I salute that. I commend you.”

Trump called for an energy ceasefire. Ukraine immediately agreed and suspended energy attacks. Putin refused and kept hitting energy targets in Ukraine. But you blame Ukraine. Ridiculous
Zelensky hates us and has played us for suckers.

Anyone committing a sexual act in the Vatican is disrespectful & people can shame them. Italy would do nothing (because it a separate country) & Swiss Guard would just escort them out not behead them. Don’t try to pretend the reaction would be similar to what Saudi Arabia did
In reaction to my previous post, many of you have asked the most painful, human question in all of this: where is the place of mercy? I see the comments, and I feel the weight of such questions. The reason people fiercely disagree on this is because they are viewing it from completely different legal points and moral compasses. In the secular, Western moral compass, mercy is almost a default right for any non-violent crime. The secular world believes that as long as nobody was physically hurt, the state should always rehabilitate, tolerate, or forgive. That is why watching two Bangladeshi nationals, Nazrul Islam Abdul Basir and Siti Akhtar, face the ultimate penalty feels so violently devoid of mercy to the global audience. Some people are arguing in the comments that they only kissed. For me, there is no substantive proof for that. The Saudi Ministry of Interior convicted them of an immoral sexual act without releasing graphic details. Unless proven by official records, the kissing claim remains a social media rumor that cannot be supported with facts. We have to deal with the legal reality of what the court ruled on. Having said that, I believe we need to understand the Islamic legal compass. In Sharia, mercy is abundant, but it is deeply tied to intent and ignorance. Mercy is for the one who does not know. It is not for the one who knows the location of the boundary and intentionally crosses it to make a mockery of the space. Let’s think of it this way. Imagine a Christian or a Jew somehow bypassed the strict highway checkpoints, entered the mosque, and committed this same act. If they were caught and could genuinely establish ignorance of the theological sacredness of the Haram, the punishment would not be this severe. They would be arrested, aggressively interrogated, likely face jail time, and be permanently deported. The Saudi legal system would treat them as ignorant trespassers who violated public decency and border laws, but not as spiritual traitors. Let’s even bring it closer to the Western moral compass. Think about Vatican City. If a tourist bypasses thousands of hotel rooms in Rome and decides to commit a sexual act right on the main altar of St. Peter's Basilica, do you think the Italian authorities will care about their feelings? They will drag them out, charge them with severe desecration, and ensure the global media ruins their lives. Europe fiercely protects the boundaries of its sacred spaces using its own legal framework, and they will not bend their rules to accommodate emotional entitlement. The fact that Nazrul and Siti were Muslims is what made their situation infinitely worse. As Muslims, they knew what Mecca represents. They knew the theological weight of the sanctuary. They knew that in the Haram, you cannot even pluck a leaf or scare a bird. So when they bypassed private rooms to bring a sexual act into the mosque, the court could not look at them and see ignorance. The court saw premeditated defiance from people who knew better. When you share the faith, you are bound by its heaviest laws. You cannot claim ignorance of a sanctuary you pray toward five times a day. The Saudi Interior Ministry confirmed they were sentenced to death under ta'zir, a discretionary punishment, specifically because of the profound seriousness of violating the sanctity of the mosque. In that strict legal framework, when intentional desecration replaces human weakness, the door for mercy closes, and the sword of deterrence takes over. Every country has its own rules and laws. This is why I tell people: always obey the rules and laws of your host country. Do not protest. Do not flout public orders. Do not test the boundaries of a foreign legal system. Do not impose your moral compass on a sovereign land. When you cross a border, your feelings no longer dictate the law.

Apparently a kiss on the forehead between a married couple in a holy place gets you executed in Saudi Arabia. This kind of stuff is why I will never travel to a country with backwards, barbaric laws or a dictatorial government.

Russia has an economy the size of Italy. We are elevating Putin to the role of partner with the only two genuine superpowers. It’s just such a favor to a KGB agent who got his country in a disastrously foolish and evil war. For those of you who argue “America first” what exactly has Putin EVER done for us? He certainly seems to like to help our enemies.

We should add that Putin has murdered or imprisoned his political opponents. He’s attacked multiple countries. And now, a cornered rat.
Vance: "I've never met Putin in person. I've spoken to him on the phone. He was calmer than you might expect. The American media has a stereotype of him. He's very deliberate and measured in his words. I think, at his core, he's someone who cares about Russia's interests as he sees them. One reason he respects the President is that he recognizes the President cares about the interests of the American people."

Counter-Counterpoint: Russia is our enemy & we should support things that weaken & distract them, especially when the side we're supporting is fighting a defensive war. Also, no American blood is being spilled for Ukraine & sanctions aren't us spending our treasure there either.
Counterpoint: The American people don’t want to spend their treasure or their blood on a territorial dispute between related but hostile nations on the other side of the world. We have no moral obligation to do it. It’s not weakness not to jump in a fight between other people.

The announcement that Pope Leo would be released from hospital was made on Saturday morning. The Administration’s Department of Interior is treating Arizona and the other lower basin states unfairly. Good to see these Governors fighting for our water.
Arizona’s decision to join Nevada's lawsuit over the Colorado River is an important step in challenging a federal plan that unfairly burdens the Lower Basin. I welcome their partnership as we work toward a fair agreement. Read my full statement here: gov.nv.gov/press-releases/go…

On this day in 1978, Karol Wojtyła was officially elected Pope John Paul II. Amid some of the Cold War’s most turbulent years, his visit to his native Poland inspired millions to stand firm in their faith, even in the face of oppression. Many historians view that visit as a spiritual spark that helped ignite the Solidarity movement, setting in motion events that would ultimately contribute to the fall of communism in Europe.

Let me re-check… it is Russia who is invading Ukraine and bombing cities. Victim blaming here is moral blindness. These guys are enemies of freedom and a friend of a dictator.
Zelensky is the single biggest obstacle to achieving peace in the Ukraine. Once everyone realizes that, this war will end and people of that region of the world can start rebuilding their lives.

Russia is engaged in slaughter, not Ukraine. It's a longstanding tradition of theirs to occupy and erase nationalities of their neighbors--Ukraine included. See what Soviet Russia did to my people in Lithuania last century. Russia attacks civilians, kidnaps children, and is bellicose by nature. Zelensky, whether you like him or not, hasn't been brutally ruling his nation for 25+ years, isn't aligned with Iran or China, nor killing off his political opponents. Please hear me out: I'm not a Democrat. I'm a longtime Republican and conservative who supports many Trump policies. America needs to be on the right side of this issue. And not supporting Ukraine is the wrong side to be on...
And so the slaughter continues … Time for Zelensky to go
