Excellent mention of @weather_katie in a discussion at #NWAS26. Harassment of meteorologists is a major problem and has got worse in recent years. It’s a major issue that has sent excellent meteorologists out of the broadcast field.
My opinion of Omaha: it's the "in between" city. Not a top-end global hub that overwhelms me, but also big enough to have a full range of services and opportunities. And from what I have seen, it is much more affordable than top-tier cities.
The #BrysonFire is currently burning very near Encinal Canyon Road. The evacuation ORDER (meaning you must leave) includes inland west #Malibu, near the Country Club. Surrounding areas, including along the PCH west of downtown Malibu, are on alert to leave on short notice. #CAwx
Stokes-Beard Elementary in Columbus, MS is getting a new #tornado shelter, and at least outside school hours will add another place for the community to shelter. (Other expansions to the school too).

🚩 RED FLAG WARNINGS EXTENDED, AREAS UPDATED 🚩
Red Flag Warnings have been extended in parts of California, and affected areas have been updated as critical fire weather conditions continue.
Warnings cover portions of the Sierra Nevada, Kern County Mountains, and Los Angeles and Ventura counties. Interior portions of San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties are also under a Red Flag Warning Friday from 3 a.m. to 6 p.m. In Lake County, a Fire Weather Watch remains in effect from late tonight through Friday afternoon.
Strong winds and low humidity can allow fires to spread rapidly. Embers are a leading cause of home ignition during wildfires. Is your home ready?

Webster County, MO is looking at a #tornado shelter for its 911 center. This is on top of the shelters at schools in the county for residents - it ensures the first responders are safe too.
