I want to add:
There are forms of the flu vaccine available without needles, that can even be taken at home.
Also, a flu vaccine reduces your chance of catching the flu, and prepares your body to effectively fight the flu if you do catch it, reducing duration and severity.

There are VERY few journalists whose work I have held in such high esteem throughout the COVID pandemic as Helen Branswell.
Her work was incredible. And I am devastated that we have lost her voice.
Im so grateful for the excellent work of journalists like her.
Helen Branswell, STAT's infectious disease reporter who earned the respect of experts and public health officials with her accessible, prescient dispatches, has died at age 69. trib.al/3bBswKg
