On September 20, churches across Maine answered the call to pray. 🙏
For Pray for Maine Sunday, the Christian Civic League of Maine invited congregations from Kittery to Mars Hill to set aside their services to pray for our state and the upcoming election. More than 60 churches took part, and here are a few of their pastors in their own words.
Thank you to every church and every believer who prayed. Let's keep praying for Maine to and through the election, and ask the Lord to transform our state.

Anchored Ep. 84 - Matthew Harvey, Calvary Chapel Safe Harbor
“Worship God with your whole heart, not just with music, but with the way that you live your life.”
"60 votes statewide was the difference between Republican control or Democrat control."
In this clip, Sen. Minority Leader Trey Stewart reminds us that candidates for the Maine House and Senate are around this season. Invite them into your church. Ask them questions. Take the opportunity to interview them.
Your vote matters, but it doesn't matter if you don't show up. A lot of people died to give you that opportunity.

Every legislative day should start with a little wisdom. 📖
"In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise." (Proverbs 10:19)
After years in committee rooms, I've learned that sometimes saying less gets you further. Measure your words. Use them carefully.

“They answered him not a word. And when they answered not a word, it was an indictment on them of silence. Sometimes in our silence we are giving a silent endorsement… Do you love them enough to say the tough things? Love has guardrails. Love has rules.”
Auburn, this Saturday! A free family festival at JT Reid's Gun Shop, 10am-2pm, with special guest @mkhammer. Food trucks, live music, bounce houses, and games for the kids.

A note from our Executive Director Nick Adolphsen:
The Left is running a massive campaign branding a conservative candidate’s comments “creepy.” Those remarks were intended to be kind and compassionate.
They clipped six seconds from the hour-long interview I conducted with him. Just so we’re clear: if there’s a party of “creepy,” it isn’t the conservative one.
I think it’s creepy to invite drag performers to a family fishing derby run by IF&W.
I think it’s creepy that middle-aged men dressed as women are so eager to perform for—and read sexually explicit books to—small children in local libraries.
I think it’s creepy that a social worker would hold a private conversation with an adolescent student about sexuality, then help that child change gender, suppress the sexuality God gave them, and deliberately hide it all from the parents.
I think it’s creepy that adults, waving the banner of free speech, fight to keep pornographic and deviant books in school libraries.
I think it’s creepy to insist biological males must share my daughter’s locker room, bathroom, and shower at school.
I think it’s creepy that current policy allows doctors to mail abortion drugs anywhere in the country with no in-person visit.
I think it’s creepy when “pro-choice” quietly becomes “pro-abortion—as much, as often, and as late as possible," including full-term.
"You have a guy who's... willing to take that head-on in the most aggressive way possible, and start to restore the country to our roots, you know, faith and family and freedom." 🔥

"Who is this that defies the armies of the living God?" – David's question still matters today.
In this clip, we connect the story of David and Goliath to a practical question facing Maine families right now: will biological males be allowed to compete in girls' sports or use our daughters' locker rooms and bathrooms at school?
This isn't a wedge issue. It isn't about attacking anyone. It's about protecting our girls and women, and standing firm on God's design. Watch and share. 👇

Barna estimated 32 million regular churchgoers would sit out the 2024 presidential election. In Maine, that's roughly 135,000–140,000 people. Cut it in half, and it's still 50,000-70,000 votes. Our State House was decided by about 60 votes.
The church doesn't need to be the majority. It just needs to show up.

Two Saturdays this October, the Christian Civic League of Maine is joining Lead Maine (@lead_maine) , Maine Civic Action (@MECivicAction) , and the Maine Republican Party (@mainegop) for a free family festival. October 3rd at JT Reid's Gun Shop in Auburn; October 17th at Crosspoint Church in Bangor. Both run 10am to 2pm, and both are free.
Food trucks, live music, bounce houses, face painting, and games for the kids. Bring your family. Bring your church.
The first 200 people to RSVP at each event get a food truck voucher.
RSVP at TurnTheTideMaine.com, and bring a neighbor with you.
In 2024, three seats and 60 votes decided control of the Maine House — and which set of values would guide the legislature.
Nick Adolphsen’s point: those razor-thin margins were the difference between advancing policies in line with Christian values and moving in the opposite direction. Elections have consequences. Sitting them out does too.
He still sees hope — in prayer, in families, and in Mainers who will stand up and engage.
Watch. Pray. Show up.
