Hard to divine why the Home Secretary or Justice Minister would allow out the mother of Henry Nowak’s killer after serving just a third of the sentence.
Kieran Kaur, 51, hid her son’s knife which ended poor Henry’s life, and was damn lucky to only get three years.
What puzzles me is that even Labour politicians would know freeing her through the early release scheme would cause a storm.
And yet they still did it. The truth is they don’t care.

Where is the big national debate about left-wing extremism?
Where are the BBC documentaries and podcasts about left-wing extremism?
Where are the calls to warn children in schools and universities about left-wing extremism?
Where are the government 'counter-terror units' stating that if you read, say, Karl Marx or Antonio Gramsci then you are "on a pathway to terror"?
Where are the think-tanks producing major research reports on left-wing extremism and its followers?
Where are the multi-million pound research grants going to academics who investigate left-wing terror?
If it was far-right we all know what would happen. Wall to wall blanket coverage, analysis, and debate.

I have been a lifelong teetotaller.
I have attended thousands of events where alcohol has been served and consumed.
At every meal and every formal and informal event in the @RoyalNavy I had to subsidise my colleagues' and the Crown's guests' alcohol consumption. I always paid for my round.
