BlackRock developing investment strategies specifically for an onchain product was NOT on my 2026 bingo card
But here we are.
@Ondo just launched Intelligent Portfolios, and I think this is one of the clearest examples yet of what happens after we tokenize the stocks themselves.
The first three portfolios are based on strategies developed by BlackRock for Ondo.
- BlackRock builds the portfolio strategy.
- Ondo turns it into a single transferable onchain token.
So instead of manually buying 10 different tokenized assets, you can just mint one token representing the entire portfolio.
And the part my crypto dumb brain likes most: The holdings are visible onchain.
Basically we spent years asking when Wall Street would put its assets onchain.
Now we’re reaching the much more interesting stage where Wall Street-style financial products can actually be rebuilt.
Stocks were step one.
Turning an entire portfolio into a composable token is where this starts getting weird in a REALLY good way.

Ondo Intelligent Portfolios introduces a new onchain product category: curated investment portfolios delivered as single onchain transferable tokens.
The first three portfolios are based on portfolio strategies developed by BlackRock for Ondo, marking the first time eligible onchain investors can access exposure to such strategies through a single token.

Diversified, professionally constructed strategies have historically required brokerage accounts and traditional fund structures. Now, delivered as peer-to-peer transferable tokens from Ondo, these onchain portfolios become accessible to eligible non-US investors in permitted jurisdictions through the wallets, exchanges, and DeFi applications they already use.
