Great to see the legend himself @coachk21 tonight at Phoenix Muni before the game. @FirebirdsCCBL lucky to have this guy at the helm each summer. 💪🏼

Rocco Peppi hit a walk off homer for the @LBDirtbags and I can’t help but feel it has something to do with walking out to Rockstar by Nickleback

Using batted ball data from savant, we can work to predict whether a ball in play will be a hit/out. Maybe cooler, we can work to predict the exact value we can expect from a batted ball, more on that later. For now, I made a bot that predicts Hit / Out. Check it out below:

As I finish up the xRV model, I wanted to work on some hitting data for fun. I’ll continue to update my code as I begin to include park factors and fine tune my xBA model. github.com/JohnnyDavis12/xBA

I'm thrilled to share I've accepted a broadcast/media relations position with the @GoStripers (Braves AAA) for the 2023 season. Special thanks to @DaveLezotte for the opportunity. Excited to get started! #TakeTheBait Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a midnight train to catch.

POV: Your Catcher tells you to go ahead and throw that heat! Shout out to our very own @aj3blubaugh for earning the spotlight this month as #pitcherofthemonth for the Carolina League (Single-A). Blubaugh went 2-0 with a 0.90 ERA in two appearances.

This Apple TV MLB broadcast is awful. They should at least get a statistician running the mediocre on-screen analytics graphic.

Aaron Hicks’ hit percentage jumped from 6% to 7% after one foul ball in 3-2 count

Matt Shaw balled out this summer. He has exceptional plate coverage and can barrel pitches all over the zone. Check out his avg exit velos by zone: Red = 80th percentile or better Yellow = Above average Blue = Below average @BourneBraves @TerpsBaseball

Before Reggie Crawford went 1st round to the @SFGiants, he dominated as a 2-way player in the Cape. Here's a report from his first outing last summer. His fastball was on (94-99 MPH, >2500 RPM) as he struck out two, allowing no base runners. @reggiec21 @UConnBSB @BourneBraves
