On July 2, 2026, the Foam Fire Suppression System at the main hangar for the Caribbean Air and Marine Branch in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, inadvertently activated, releasing Jet-X 2% High-Expansion Foam Concentrate. The fire department responded immediately, and hazmat teams.
CBP is aware of concerns regarding the foam’s safety. According to the manufacturer’s official Safety Data Sheet, Jet-X 2% foam is not classified as toxic. The primary safety consideration is potential eye irritation with direct contact.

My office was happy to support @CBP & @CBPAMO in the second annual Michel O. Maceda Memorial 5K run. Marine Interdiction Agent Maceda gave his life protecting Puerto Rico and the rest of the nation from the threats posed by drug traffickers. His sacrifice will never be forgotten.

On Oct. 3, CBP officers found anomalies within a container arriving from the Dominican Republic. An inspection revealed 156 bricks of cocaine. The estimated value of the contraband is $3.6mil. @OFOEAC

Today the San Juan Field Office returned officially to the Historic Customshouse in Old San Juan #PuertoRico. This almost 100 year old building has been renovated to continue serve the travel and trade community in the Caribbean.
