During our recent meeting, a member of CBID made threatening remarks to Sen. Zellnor Myrie. We as an organization collectively condemn this behavior. We value open, civil debate and seek to always be a safe space for discussion. We offer our deepest apologies to the Senator and hope that we can resume our longstanding relationship of collaboration and mutual support.

This act is abhorrent and unacceptable. We are glad no one was physically harmed, and offer our best wishes to the Senator and her team as they deal with the emotional toll. Know that you are appreciated and the great work you do does not go unnoticed.
