Ever since I started my job I've dreamed of the day where we would qualify for something and I could turn up and give a lecture wearing my Scotland top, and now it's here.
Apologies in advance to my students tomorrow.

Delighted my @RoyalStatSoc William Guy Lecture is now online. Today more than ever it is important for our future scientists to think about how statistics helps understand and combat climate change.
Please share with any children or teachers you know.

A quick visit to Harrogate for @RSSAnnualConf - sadly only able to take in a single day rather than the whole thing. Looking forward to Marc Genton giving the Barnett Lecture, before my own talk in the next session.
"Life's Not Fair"
Engaging with the public is all about telling stories, and my colleague Eilidh Jack and I are trying to illustrate inequality in Scotland through a board game.
We were both really excited to see the physical game after weeks of hard work.
The game will make its "debut" at our workshop at @RoyalSocEd in a couple of weeks.
We are then hoping to be able to take it to schools and other similar events to reach as large and diverse an audience as possible.

A massive thank you to @Hayman_Creative who did such a fantastic job of printing everything to a really high standard.
Judy talked us through every step and made sure we didn't overlook anything, which was really helpful given neither of us have done anything like this before.
I was delighted to give this talk for the first time last week, and look forward to doing so many more times in the coming year - please get in touch! The recording will also be available online soon too.
.@CAndersonStats is a senior lecturer in statistics at @UofGlasgow, carrying out research in health and environmental statistics. His talk for secondary schools will explore the role of statistics in monitoring air pollution 3/5
Finished recording my William Guy lecture for @RoyalStatSoc.
However, for those of you desperate to hear my insightful analysis of this hourly air pollution plot, I'm afraid you'll have a little longer to wait.
It's an honour to have been selected by @RoyalStatSoc as one of the William Guy Lecturers for the coming year.
I absolutely love sharing my passion for our wonderful subject with young people. Hopefully this can inspire and excite them about statistics.
