Not quite a technical buy signal, but this is interesting. $BPNYA pegged a higher high last week even as the markets sold off.

Im bullish small caps. Here is the take: Record short interest and hedge fund/institutions shorting, yields at short term high, and last but not least, RSI of the $SML.

The big problem last week was the selling in high yield corporates. I should point out that longer term, $HYG still outperformed $LQD to keep this in perspective. Bigger problem is outperformance of treasuries over high yield junk

So this is an indicator I just put together a few days ago. What it does is compare defensive sectors and farm REITs to the Equal Weight Nasdaq 100 $qqew. The idea is when defense is favored (crosses over 0) over the average tech stock, time to get defensive yourself.
