I think I finally figured out that X factor we always talk about in players. But can never put our finger on. I call it Composure. Calm, even under duress. I saw this rookie manage the calls, manage the team, and most importantly Manage himself. I saw it years ago with Brady. I’m seeing it in Bo Nix, and I just saw it last night with this guy
Unpopular opinion
These people who proclaim they owe everything to their spouse for their success, the award they just won etc blah blah blah.
Listen. My spouse is amazing. But did she go do my job? No. Did she battle through the grinds, sweat the endless stress-balls of my life events? No. She had her own battles.
We were there for each other - that’s true.
But I want to thank me for me. I thank me for the endless hard work and struggle. I thank her for walking beside me while it was happening, for being the great partner and encouraging me.
But no, she wasn’t responsible for my success. That was me.
I don’t eat much ice cream. This is probably my second box in 5 years. I put this ice cream box into my sink last night at 9 PM. What was left in the bowl was put upside down over the drain.
I took these pictures at 6:30 AM the next morning. I thought ice cream was supposed to melt at room temperature. What did I just put in my body? I think I ate my last ice cream yesterday. This is Chapmans vanilla
I’m so disgusted.
Broadcasters and Networks please!!
Me trying to drown out the NFL scoring updates because I can’t find the remote to mute the announcers.
Hello??? I want to watch that game later without already knowing the outcome!!
This is what I have to resort to on Sundays.
Mind you - good reason to get up and get some exercise I guess

Thirteen-year-old Jake passed away just two weeks before his 14th birthday after what his mum thought was just severe hay fever turned out to be an aggressive cancer 💔
Before he was diagnosed, Jake's mum Lynsey was giving him antihistamines before school because he had a stuffy nose and watery eyes.
She put his sheer exhaustion down to the warm summer weather and the end of the school term.
But when a swelling appeared across the bridge of his nose, an X-ray at Salisbury District Hospital revealed a mass in his nasal cavity.
Jake was diagnosed with stage 3 fusion-positive alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare soft-tissue cancer, in July 2023.
He went through nine rounds of chemotherapy and 28 sessions of proton beam radiotherapy in London, but the cancer still spread to his lymph nodes.
When further chemotherapy caused severe seizures that placed him in intensive care, Jake made the brave decision to stop his treatment entirely.
Lynsey said he was incredibly calm about it, simply telling her, "We tried our best."
He even managed to joke that at least he wouldn't have to deal with the cost-of-living crisis.
Jake passed away peacefully at home on April 26, 2024.
Before he died, he gave strict instructions for his own funeral, asking for a blue coffin and for 'Here Comes The Sun' by the Beatles to be played 💙
His final wish to his mum was that he wanted to be well-known and not forgotten.
Lynsey is now honouring that promise by joining forces with a children's cancer charity and studying radiotherapy at the University of Liverpool.
RIP Jake, you won't be forgotten 🕊️

I had to read this three times before I could believe it was real.
Rotherham. A small town in northern England.
For sixteen years, at least 1,400 children — some as young as eleven — were raped, gang-raped, and trafficked between cities by organized groups of men.
Eleven years old.
Petrol was poured on them so they would stay quiet.
Their families were threatened with death.
Photos were taken and used as blackmail.
The police knew.
The council knew.
The social workers knew.
For sixteen years, not one of them moved.
Why?
Because officers were afraid of being called racist if they acted on what they were seeing.
That was the whole reason.
While children were being sold, adults were protecting their own reputations.
That is the moment something in you breaks.
And here is the part that makes it worse.
The TV networks did not report it. The papers did not chase it.
When the journalist Andrew Norfolk finally broke the story, even he thought maybe 150 girls had been hurt.
The real number was 1,400.
He was staggered.
This should have been the biggest story of the decade. It was not.
The networks looked away. The advertisers preferred safer topics.
The cover-up did not end when the report was published — it continued in the silence of every newsroom that refused to chase it.
Then Elon Musk bought X.
The advertisers fled.
The press declared the platform finished.
X almost did not survive.
But it did.
And on X, the names of those towns started trending.
Rotherham.
Telford.
Rochdale.
Oldham.
Towns the country had been told to forget.
Britain understands itself differently today.
Not because the politicians confessed.
Not because the broadcasters apologized.
Because one platform refused to let it stay buried.
X almost did not survive.
1,400 children almost stayed forgotten.
That is worth saying out loud.
